05/23/24-A lot has been happening to me since I left with my brother Tater! I’m living in a foster home with a mom and 3 other 4 legged siblings.  When I first arrived, I was really stressed out and I was like David when he first saw Goliath but that changed overnight after I had something to eat, drink and rest. The next morning, I woke refreshed and ready to go!

I have to admit, I’m still having problems with the crate – I do have accidents at times and I’m not a fan of staying in it, especially when it’s night time and everyone is outside cuddling with foster mom when we go to sleep. After a while, I settled in for the night. Foster mom says that I’m smart because I now know when she’s going to put me in it so I run around the house until she catches me. 

One thing I love to do is zoomies around my larger foster brother and sister, they don’t realize that for a small dog with small legs, I can outrun them and I do. Sometimes, I leave them standing in the wind. I’m getting used to being outside because I didn’t have that much freedom in my other life. When I hear something, I run to foster mom but then there’s things you can play with outside. Foster mom loves to see me chase leaves in the wind. When I catch them, I don’t know what to do with them. 

Do you know that there’s nothing better than being loved by a human? I loved to be picked up and hugged and kissed but I especially love when foster mom watches TV and I get to snuggle in her lap. Funny thing is that I saw a dog on the TV once and I started barking at it, I didn’t realize it wasn’t in the same place as I was. If you are looking for a special companion to make your life complete, I’m your dog! I’ll be waiting for you to come get me!

05/17/24-Mateo is an adorable 6 month old male bichonpoo (miniature poodle/bichon frise). He came in with his brother Tater from a commercial breeder as they just got too old to sell. They arrived into rescue tonight thanks to their transport & temporary foster volunteers. He was neutered & we estimate he will get to be around 18 lbs full grown. These puppies won’t be here long!
