7/18/24-Mango has made some good progress.  He’s spending more time away from me following my dogs around like a normal puppy. When we’re all out in the yard he’s zooming and playing trying to initiate play with my dogs. They are not trusting the intentions yet though of a playful puppy. He sleeps in a dog bed or plays with toys when hanging just out with me.  Mango shares his food and toys with the other dogs with no problems but gets jealous when he wants my loving.  He will do fine if is an only dog in his new home as he just loves human attention. 

7/14/24-Mango arrived yesterday evening.  He followed me everywhere but was afraid of my dogs at first.  Although he was in the crate when they walked by he let out a high pitched, glass shattering scream.  He felt the same way about his reflection in the dishwasher. LOL My dogs stayed away after that but by bed time they were bonding over their bedtime snacks.  Mango cried a little in the crate when we all went to bed but settled after about 15 minutes and slept through the night and kept his crate clean.  He’s a little stinky so he’s getting a bath today. This puppy is such a joy: loves people, cuddles, toys, and his tail wags continuously. My neighbor came to meet him and he sat on her lap giving kisses.  He’s very active but every once in a while he takes a break to enjoy the outdoors. 

07/11/24-Mango is an adorable 5 month old male cockapoo (poodle/cocker spaniel). They are larger sized cockapoos, so most likely had a standard instead of mini poodle as one parent. He came in with his 3 siblings from a commercial breeder as they just got too old to sell. They arrived into rescue tonight thanks to their transport & temporary foster volunteers. He has an ear infection he is being treated for.  We estimate he will get to be around 35 lbs full grown. These puppies won’t be here long!
