8/17/24-Ruffles has been here a whole week now, and he is just a happy, energetic, and playful ball of fluffy puppy. Being deaf doesn’t slow him down or get in his way of mischief making. He has a sparkling personality that loves to share puppy play with his brother Raffels and my cranky Boston or my now 59 lb boxer puppy. He’s gained a lot of muscle tone this week by running circles in the yard, running up and down stairs, chasing and puppy wrestling with them all. This little guy also loves toys, he’ll even play by himself. Every day he chooses what he considers his favorite…sometimes he chooses not to share it with the other dogs. He’s finding out the toy is taken away when this happens, yes he does get it back a little while later and the sharing continues. What a smart puppy.
His potty training is going very well, and has figured out potty outside is the way to go, however, he is a puppy and does have accidents in the house, but not many. However his crate is clean and dry every morning. He loves being picked up and cuddled and falling asleep in your arms and loves falling asleep cuddled up by your feet. Although deaf Ruffles will do just fine as an only dog in his new home as he is very well adjusted & doesn’t seek out another dog all the time like some deaf dogs. This little man wants to just love. Don’t miss out on all this love!

8/5/24-Ruffles is brother to Raffels arrived into rescue thanks to the many people dedicated to his arrival into rescue. He’s a little smaller than his litter mate Raffels but he’s a definite “Mighty Mouse ” attitude. He’s definitely deaf, but has awesome eye sight and loves wrestling with his brother and my dogs a 1 yr old boxer girl and 21 lb Boston terrier.
He’s a happy go lucky puppy that will thrive with love, He’s had a bath and lots of love. He’s already learned the sign for good boy and come get lovins. So consider this little sweetness for your life. Check back soon as we get to know him better, but what a love bug he is. He will be ready to go home in a few days!
08/02/24-Ruffles is an adorable 12 week old male cockapoo (poodle/cocker spaniel). He came in today from a commercial breeder as he was found to be deaf. He arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to his transport & temporary foster home volunteers. We estimate he will be smaller than his littlermate & only about 25 lbs full grown.
