12/18/21-Brody is busy keeping me on my toes. He likes to tear things up. I am closely supervising and teaching him NO. He is no longer marking in the house and is good about doing his business outside. Vet appointment yesterday revealed double ear infection and infected sores between his toes on front paws. I am treating those daily.
He weighs 48 lbs. Neuter scheduled for Jan 13, 2022 & he will be ready to go home after that. He is eating and drinking without any problems. Just messy. He loves attention and eats it up.
12/14/21-Introducing our little Christmas Starr, and she is all of that. This girl has a sparkling personality, friendly, happy and outgoing with every one she meets. Starr is a retired puppy mill mama who came into rescue Friday as they were done with breeding her. She is totally enjoying her freedom and is remarkably well adjusted and really seems happy to experience her new life.
When I picked her up today after her spay, I was given an excellent report card, as she charmed the techs who took care of her while she stayed overnight, which is always nice to hear. She tested positive for Lyme so is on 30 days of doxycycline antibiotics.
While Starr looks 100% bulldog, acts like and makes noises like a bulldog, has the telltale underbite of one with awesome wrinkles, it is obvious that she has a docked tail. It’s her sparkling personality that will win your heart, regardless of her bloodline.
