9/14/24-Zander is doing great! He has lost 5 teeth since coming to my home. He enjoys his little Kong toys, balls, if it squeaks or crinkles even better. He’s quite a chewer especially after losing those teeth. LOTS of energy (I toss the little Kong down basement stairs and he brings back up 5x a day). LOL He is good in his crate at night & does not soil it. I am still learning his “Alert” signal to go out. He occasionally has pee accidents when excited to see you after being away, but he is still a baby & learning. He already learned sit, come, off and leave it (most of the time); still working on ‘crate’ and ‘down’. He has had great progress on the leash since first few days; less pulling using a Martingale collar. This sweet & very smart boy is ready to go & is waiting for his new home!
9/11/24-Here are a few cute pictures. He likescto thinking sleep next to me while i have breakfast (aka ‘guarding’ me lol). The other is from last night after my housemate took him for a short jog. Nap time! Just chilling. He has also learned to do steps.
9/8/24-Meet Zander, my newest addition to increased activity. Had his first bath and dried outside in the sunshine. See picture of tiredZander near his monkey and favorite red ball. This sweetie will be ready to go home very soon so don’t miss out!
9/7/24-Zander arrived to his foster home today. He is a very energetic young puppy. Willingly comes to me when sitting on floor to snuggle/get rubs or petting. Likes to chase balls (only inside for now). Will chase anything blowing around yard (leaves for sure).
9/6/24-Zander is a very fun loving, sweet & handsome 4 month old male standard size aussie (Australian Shepherd). He came in tonight from a commercial breeder along with his brother Ozzie as they just got too old to sell. Thanks go out to their transport & overnight volunteers! We estimate they will be about 60 lbs full grown.
