9/21/24-It’s been a week since Colby arrived and he is doing so well! He is probably the easiest foster I’ve had. He sleeps all night and he keeps a clean crate. He loves the other dogs and is becoming quite playful. He potties outside, but does lift his leg to leave a couple marks when in the house, his neuter should help with this. I am using a belly band to help with this issue and he doesn’t mind wearing it at all. He has become a good eater and takes meds very well. Colby’s leash walking skills have improved greatly too! He is a sweet boy who enjoys pets and gives the cutest lovingly looks and smiles.
9/14/24-Colby did a great job sleeping through the night and had a clean crate this morning! He pottied outside when he got up and is enjoying his breakfast. He is a sturdy boy, weighing in at 30 pounds. He is curious and wants to play with the other dogs, but they are still getting used to him and his snorts! He doesn’t seem to have any interest in the cat. He is lifting his leg some in the house right now so for now a belly band will help this. I’m sure it will be much better once he gets neutered. I’m looking forward to his true personality coming out in the coming days.
09/13/24-Colby is a 2 1/2 yr old gorgeous male french bulldog from a nice commercial breeder that just didn’t need him anymore. The breeder said Colby is very social & loves everyone. He arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. His foster mom says he is very “snorty” & loud. Some of this may be due to excitement & newness of everything plus probably an elongated soft palate like many frenchies have. He is being treated for an ear infection with medication & due to vet backups his neuter is not until Wednesday 10/2. After his neuter Colby will be ready to go to his new home!
