10/7/24-Let me introduce you to a very special girl. Her name is Sophie. What makes Sophie so special, you ask? Sophie had a herniated disk that is now healed but has left her with nerve damage. She walks around on wobbly legs. Turns out we got her vet records & this has been going on since she was 9 months old. Her prior vet had her on rimadyl & suspected IVDD (severe disc issue) which is common in frenchies. Later after other checkups they diagnosed it as Pelvic Ataxia (neurological issue). Today at her vet visit with our vet they started her on Prednisone to see if that improves her walking at all. Frenchie’s are prone to back issues and since she is so young she is likely to have more problems in the future. Sadly this is not something that will go away or can be fixed. She is likely to need a wheelchair in her future. What makes her special is that Sophie has no idea anything is wrong with her. This little girl enjoys life, loves people and is very well behaved and adjusted. She is going to need an extra special home.

10/6/24-Sophie is a 15 month old french bulldog that is an owner surrender that came into rescue today. She has lived a wonderful live with a terrific older couple who said they just couldn’t keep up with the energy of a French bulldog puppy. Sophie was well cared for and a great little girl. She even arrived with a tub of blueberries that she gets for her afternoon snack. She loves to play ball and over all a very happy girl.
