2/11/22-Rocky has been with us for about a month now and he is finally coming out of his shell! It has taken him a little longer to settle in than his brother Sarge, but patience has paid off! Rocky is such a joy. Rocky likes to be where his people are. He will become your shadow. He loves attention and finally played a game of fetch. He also has begun to play with his foster pup sister instead of just standing there hoping she would go away. (Haha) Rocky and the resident kitty have a good friendship going on. He loves to play with her, but he also loves to chase her, so if your kitty doesn’t like that Rocky may not be a good fit. Rocky really needs his next home to be his final forever home that he can relax in and soak up the love! Can you be that for him?

1/27/22-The first week in foster care has been a transition for Rocky. He lost his family and home he was so used to and now he is in a strange place with different people and sounds. He definitely misses his brother Sarge (also available) and has just recently stopped wandering around looking for him. This past week however, Rocky has grown to trust his foster mom and goes right to her when he is scared or needs attention. He has started to do the typical boxer wiggle when he is happy and has even gotten comfortable enough to try to play with the cat! He does try to chase her, which we are trying to break him of, but he always ends it in a play stance. Playing with his rambunctious 2year old foster sister (boxer mix) is still a bit much for him. He does enjoy her company and looks to her for assurance though. Rocky is good in a crate and is very well potty trained.  He also listens to the no command and has already learned to go in his crate when asked! He is such a great dog and will make a great companion!

1/24/22-Rocky & his brother Sarge do not seem to be well socialized with strangers. They are both unsure of strangers & don’t  love when there are people they don’t know in their foster homes.  They are just shy & very scared, not aggressive, so we feel a quieter home with not a lot of people coming & going will probably be best for them.

1/17/22-What a cutie! Rocky is a little nervous of his new surroundings in his foster home but is checking everything out and being a typical brave boxer. He lived in a home with other dogs and a cat previous and has done well so far with both in his foster home. He likes his scratches and gives good boxer kisses!
So far he has gone potty outside every time. He went in a kennel and slept there while his foster mom was busy so he seems not to mind it in there. We will be getting to know Rocky over the next couple weeks so check in for updates on this young man!

1/16/21-Rocky came in today with his littermate Sarge as his owners were going through a separation & could not keep them. Not only brothers, they are best friends so we are hoping someone out there is looking to adopt them both & reunite them! They lived with & were great with cats, 2 smaller dogs & 9 year old child. They do have some seasonal flank alopecia that boxers often get but nothing to worry about. Don’t miss out on these great boys!
