1/04/25-Shayna is doing great.  She loves her people and will watch out the window when you leave but doesn’t get anxious about it.  She loves playing with my dog , so either a home with or without another dog would be good.  She also helps herself now to the toy box and gets out what she wants to play with or chew on now.  She is eating good now too.    We think we actually heard her bark at my dog once while waiting at the door to come in. Other wise she only whimpers. She only uses her crate now if we need her to for some reason but she lays on floor next to wherever my dog is usually or on the couch. She is a sniffer.  She has to smell everything you have in your hands!!  She also will steal tissues out of your pockets!!  LOL  She is just beautiful! We can’t believe no one has snatched her up yet.

12/21/24-Ms Shayna had her spay the other day.  She was under the weather for a couple days but is back to her sweet self now.  She is eating well ( trying 3 meals to fatten her up) she was 56 lbs on arrival and 54 at vet . She likes bananas now, plain Greek yogurt and takes a chew bone.  Doesn’t play with toys but she watches my dog so maybe she will in time.  She loves her people.  Does well left out of crate now. She is more relaxed if left out.  But she will go in if need too.  She does not bark at all. She does whimper that’s all I have heard. Even though my dog barks a lot especially at the UPS guy! Lol She is now ready for her new home.

12/20/24-Shayna had her spay the other night. She came home yesterday and was not feeling her best. She is better this afternoon and did eat her dinner tonight.

12/15/24-Shayna helped me decorate the tree. She was very curious. She is also showing off her Christmas collar.  She was afraid at first but then started smelling everything which is what she likes to do. She’s being spayed this week & will be ready to go home!

11/28/24-Shayna is doing much better.  She is finally relaxed enough to eat plus eveN found something she likes…She does like dogsters ice cream cups!!!!   She is a sweet girl.  She is crate trained , housebroken- no accidents at all. She is starting to come out of her shell and play a little.  She chased the ball but didn’t know what to do after. LOL She is running around trying to play with my dog.  She is good with him and good with kitties.  She even tries to play with the kitties on occasion but they aren’t having it.  She lets me do her ear treatment for her infection. She does have moments where she becomes scared and we don’t know why- visible shaking and pacing and panting, but it doesn’t last long.  I have been giving her hemp calming chews I saw another foster said she used & they seem to take the edge off.  She is beautiful in her coloring and markings & will be ready to go home in a couple of weeks after her spay.

11/20/24-Shayna is going to be spayed on Thursday 12/19 & will be ready to go home soon after that. She is very picky what she eats, but like a kid will eat ice cream..of course on the couch! Lol

11/17/24-Shayna had a good night . Slept in her crate without a peep. Crate was dry this morning & went out with my dog to do her business. Not eating well yet. Ate in her crate last night but dumped it out this morning? When Shayna was a guest at her overnight foster she also wouldn’t eat any dry food at all but when they opened up a can of Purina Pro Plan Chicken Pate her and new foster girl Layla gobbled it up! I am trying mixing dry kibble with a little water and a spoon of canned stirred into it.

11/16/24-My new foster girl arrived today.  She is sweet & such a pretty girl.  Great with my kitties and other dogs. We are working on getting her a spay appointment asap. Once she is spayed & we get to know her a little bit she will be ready to go to her new home.

11/15/24-Shayna is a very beautiful & sweet 5 year old female boxer that came in today from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport & overnight foster volunteers. She has an ear infection she is being treated for.
