1/20/25-Jasper is still looking for a family to love! He is deserving of the perfect match. I mean it when I say we would take him as our second if we could. He’s acclimated so well- eating regular kibble out of bowls now that he knows mealtimes are regular, great in the crate for snoozes but sleeps on the dog bed all night long, not a single mark or accident post neuter, listens when called to come inside, even working on sit for treats. And the wiggles never stop, he’ll simply make eye contact with you in the room and his floof starts to jiggle all over again out of pure love and joy he has a family. He is most comfortable with females but certainly could go to a home with males & would likely be great with kids / cats, we know he’s a great fur brother. He’s truly a gem of an Aussie! Our foster career started with Aussies only and let me tell you they aren’t all this good including our own! LOL Please share as we are leaving the country in a few weeks and want him to find the comforts of home before then & not have to move him to another foster home!

1/18/25-Adventures of the aussies! Jasper was the perfect addition to one of our favorite kind of winter days. He kept great pace through the woods after he got comfortable with the new noises and harness. He was such a gentleman around other people and pups at the brewery, mostly just wanted to curl up by our feet after wiggling about. The rest of the night he was content as could be cozied up on the dog bed by the fire. He’s going to make a perfect best friend for one lucky family, can’t believe he hasn’t been scooped yet!

1/14/25-No takers on Jasper? I’m shocked!!! He’s such a great easy dog. He’s been doing great on a leash and is very playful making him a great buddy for another dog if his new home has one. He is eating regular kibble and has the outside potty routine down pat. He loves when his humans are home and his greeting is next to none. He is still fine spending time in a crate at night but probably would do just fine sleeping on a dog bed or a human! LOL Showing some interest in toys and bones and although not destructive has been known to steal a hat or shoe to hold on his bed (I think likes his humans’ scent). LOL I thought he would get scooped up quick!

1/12/25-Jasper has officially earned the title of ausshole status but we are elated about it! LOL I was only upstairs for a few minutes and had just finished choreographing for the week (I teach dance on the side) and he decided he was going to try and learn the steps by digesting their paper instructions I guess! He’s finally settling in to the playful, happy boy he deserves to be. Starting to take toys from the basket, showing interest in bones and loved the little snow we got. He even listens when called! His incision started to look a little red earlier this week so I started him on some antibiotics and already cleared up (maybe a little too much wrestling too soon which we’ve dialed back on). Someone must want this perfect blue eyed boy! His little nub can wiggle!

1/05/25-Happy Sunday from Jasper! He is definitely warming up and spending more time out of the crate. His confidence is especially apparent around our dog- he is brave and playful & would definitely do well with a furry best friend if it’s in the cards for him, but will be fine as an only dog too.  Like a typical ex commercial breeder dog he hates bowls and does bury his food but does eat the pile he saves for later eventually. He’s such a great boy!

12/28/24-Jasper was neutered & is doing well post neuter. He becomes your typical stubborn Aussie with the cone on- acts like he’s being tortured and is in defiant mode! Lol So we have just been supervising closely if he’s with us and giving him a break from the cone. Appetite was a little funky when he returned per usual with anesthesia but is loving chicken and rice and taking his meds that way. He is such a good calm boy!  He will be ready to go to his new home soon!

12/25/24-Hi, I’m Jasper! A 4 year old Aussie shepherd who’s floof is filled with nothing but love. Foster mom likes to call me jazz or jazz man for short, because she says I’m the handsomest boi. I was rescued the weekend before Christmas and lucky for me this guy named Santa (new to me!), found me there and brought some treats, toys and a cozy bed for my crate (which I’m very well behaved in by the way). I really loved all those things but the best gift ever would be finding my furever home. Foster mom says I should be on everyone’s wish list because well there’s not much you can’t love about me. I can still be nervous from time to time but enjoy coming out of my crate for pets and attention. I would love a furry friend to play with but I don’t absolutely need one. I wrestle with my foster bro aussie but I usually let him take the lead. What I do need is some patient, kind, loving humans that I can wiggle for. I will get so excited when I see you, and not just the first time of the day, or when you come through the door, like every time. Not gonna lie my wiggle is a little bigger for foster mom than dad but I think I’m just more comfy around her. I’m coming around to the fact that not all tall guys that walk around in boots are scary. I am doing very well with house training and sleep soundly all night. I will be a great adventure partner but also could def dig some couch time. I went for a walk for the first time on Christmas Day and would you believe it guys? I was a pro even though I’ve never taken a walk before. I strutted my stuff and wasn’t bothered by any dogs or humans that walked by. I wouldn’t mind a few tiny humans if they can move slow. I will be ready for adoption after my neuter on 12/26 and I think you should get your application in because I hope it won’t be long before my Christmas miracle comes true!

12/20/24-Jasper is a handsome 4 year old male blue merle colored standard size Australian Shepherd with 2 stunning blue eyes! He came in from a commercial breeder that no longer needed him. He arrived into rescue today thanks to his transport & temporary foster home volunteers. He will be neutered on Thursday 12/26 & will be ready to go home soon after that. Updates & more pictures soon from his foster home.
