1/21/25-This sweet girl is doing AMAZING! She’s such a cuddle bug and loves being by your side, following you everywhere. Honey is doing great with her crate and is quickly learning her routine like a little pro. Whoever adopts this sweetheart is going to be so lucky!

1/16/24-Our sweet foster girl is celebrating her big 4th birthday today,  and we couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come. Since her surgery, Honey has been thriving! She’s doing fantastic on the leash, has mastered using the bathroom outside, and is truly the perfect little companion. Honey is the definition of a lap dog—she loves to curl up next to you and would happily stay on your lap all day if you let her! She has such a big heart packed into her tiny body, and it’s been such a joy to watch her grow stronger every day.  She will be ready to go home this week.

1/09/25-Our lil Honey Bee is home! She seems so much more vibrant and lively. Despite what she has been through these last few days, it is good to see her doing so well. At least she is spayed and never has to go through that again. 2 weeks recovery and she will be right as rain & ready to go to her new home.

01/08/25-Let me tell you about Honey. We brought her home on Saturday, and by Monday, she surprised us by going into labor & birthed two puppies. Likely, the intake vet hadn’t detected her pregnancy because the puppies were already so far down the birth canal. Sadly, one puppy was stillborn, and while the other puppy survived the first night, it didn’t make it through the second. Concerned for Honey, we took her to the vet to make sure she was okay. Thank goodness we did—an undelivered puppy had died in utero and was still inside her, causing a serious infection. The vet said she likely wouldn’t have survived another day. I’ll spare the details from the vet, just know it was bad. They had to do an emergency spay to save her life. Honey is such a sweet, loving dog and her life was saved by coming into rescue this week. She will be ready to go to her new home soon

1/04/25-Honey made it to her foster home and did great. She already went out on a leash, went potty, and made doggie friends quickly. She jumped right up on the lounger on her own and has even scampered around a bit checking out the house. Next is a bath, and she doesn’t seem bothered by the new collar at all. She’s doing great on leash, sleeping, socializing, going potty and eating.

01/03/24-Miss Honey is a tiny little 4 year old female maltipoo (maltese/miniature poodle). She came in tonight from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers.  We are working on getting her spayed as soon as possible & then she will be ready to go to her new home.
