1/20/25-If you’re looking for Nigel he’ll be by the wood stove keeping warm! Lol
1/19/25-Nigel is doing really well! He is your typical happy go lucky Boston. He is a big personality tucked into a tiny dog. Nigel sits for treats on command (and without command) and is easily redirected when his Boston personality is a little too much for my dogs. Nigel hasn’t met a toy he doesn’t like. He will play fetch with them and will also just entertain himself with them. He leaps like a deer and is happy to snuggle up on the couch with you for some pets and belly rubs before he nestles himself under the covers for a nap. He also walks very well on leash. Here is what Nigel doesn’t like. He does not like to put his leash on. He becomes a little gremlin and tries to chew the leash before it gets over his head. We are working on this with him. Otherwise he is pure Boston perfection in every way!
1/18/25-Everyone loves Nigel! Freshly sprung from “jail” by a great volunteer and put up for 2 nights by my daughter. It’s truly a team effort!
He’s is a Boston thru and thru! So quirky and so stinking cute! He loves the couch, belly rubs, blankets to hide under and hasn’t met a toy he doesn’t like. IYKYK We are finding that he is crate trained and potty trained. He walks like a pro on leash and responds well to basic commands. He’s dog, cat and kid tested and approved. Although my dogs were a little standoffish to the full on Boston excitement at first. They’re all finding their groove. He’s full on fun.. for about 40 minutes and then it’s a quick nap (he snores like a sailor lol) and back into the game. He’s neutered and is ready for his forever home.
1/17/25-Nigel was introduced to my dog, Tuukka, and our 2 cats. He didn’t seem to mind the cats, or really pay attention to them, granted they rarely came out around him. He loved to play with Tuukka, who has a domineering personality.
He was crated at night both nights he was here. The first night he had very minor anxiety, but calmed after a few minutes. The second night he had adjusted and settled in quickly. Every time we took him out of the crate, or 30/40 minutes after water he was taken out, resulting in 0 accidents inside. He enjoys his afternoon naps, digging in his blanket to wrap himself up, and going for brisk walks.
Playtime went very well.
1/15/25-Nigel is an about 1 year old cute as a button Boston Terrier. He was a stray to a shelter we work with & no one claimed him. He has a left dewclaw boo-boo so their vet gave him a shot of antibiotic, otherwise no health issues diagnosed. He is a squirmy worm when you pick him up but he loves pets and to walk on a leash. He is being neutered on Friday 1/17 & then will be ready to go home.
