2/13/25-Maggie was spayed today & is home resting with one of her feline foster siblings, Zoey. The cone of shame really freaked her out. She didn’t know how to walk with it on. We will try her without one.  Maggie will be ready to go home soon!

2/11/25-Mollie has settled in quite nicely over the past few days. She seems to just go along with our daily routines.  She is definitely potty trained. She goes willingly in her crate and sleeps all night. She eats like a champ and post spay incision looks great. She’s good with the dogs but really could take or leave them. She also continues to be fine with the cats. She really just wants to be with her people. She loves the older kids and my husband. Mollie believes she’s a lap dog and will snuggle right into the crook of your neck. She also likes head and neck scratches. Mollie is well behaved outside of her crate during the day (we are home with her) but she also likes to run and jump and play outdoors in the snow. We have switched Mollie to a harness for walking and she’s great on her mile long walk with the dogs during the day. Mollie will be the first to alert you to stranger danger but warms up quickly once you tell her it’s ok.  She really just blends like she’s always been here. It feels telling to how resilient and how good natured she is.

02/06/25-Molly did great last night & I just brought her to the vet for her spay. Last night she instantly relaxed/warmed up when she saw my daughter and then her friend. I really think Molly would love a home with a pre teen/teenager. Molly really shines with the girls and I’m sure it’s due to missing her girl.

02/05/25-After 4 days Molly is here with her new foster home.  The first foster home had young kids (around 3 & 5) & Molly was very anxious & scared around the activity, size & noise of them.  She was grumbling & nippy around them which some may be nerves but we didn’t want to take chances.  It took about 20 minutes again to get her out of the truck to her new place. Got her inside the house and my daughter’s friend (both early teens) came over for a bit. That all went really well. Then her mom came to pick her daughter up and Molly did great meeting other people. Did the slow interdiction with the dogs.  All are walking around with no issues. The cat laid down the law and she’s decided cats aren’t her jam! Lol

02/02/25-Molly arrived into rescue today. She’s an owner surrender that loved her but said they were moving where couldn’t have dogs anymore & one of her children was having allergies to dogs. She said she is crate & leash trained, lived with children of all ages (loved the 11 yr old daughter best) and a cat with no issue.  Usually she is allowed free roam of house. She was extra stressed today with all the changes & leaving her family.  She refused to come out of the car on the transport to her foster home & got very upset & was nipping & growling but eventually they were able to get her out.  She goes in for her spay this Thursday 2/6 & will be ready to go home soon after once she settles in a little more at her foster home. Molly is going to go fast, she’s adorable!
