3/31/25-My foster boy Dozer is good with dogs and kitties with good introductions. He has a tendency to try to be the boss of my dog sometimes but listens well. Also, likes to sniff and chase kitties but not aggressively. He loves everyone he sees and his tail doesn’t stop wagging. Good in his crate. Eats great no food aggression at least with my kittie( they are always in the dog’s bowl before I fed them). I feed my dogs separately but they do have snacks together. He barks on occasion but not often. I have had him a week and he is starting to get toys out to play with so he is feeling comfortable. He likes to poop on the snow pile that’s left. I don’t know what he will do when it melts. Lol He just a lovable block head!
3/30/25-Dozer did well at vet yesterday. Everyone loved him . His tail didn’t stop wagging ! He is bigger than we thought & weighed 56 lbs. Got his rabies, distemper, bonus bordatella included. Waiting on blood work results for his heartworm/lyme test and dropping off a fecal sample today. Will get results of both tests in about a week. Once we get the results & get to know Dozer a little more he will be ready to go to his new home.
3/24/25-Dozer had a good night. He slept in his crate & no issues. Owner had said to feed him in his crate as he will try to eat the other dogs’ food but he didn’t need to here. I feed my dogs separated so there is no stealing food. He goes outside but I have to walk out with him or he just sits by the door. LOL
Current situation is a big lap dog!
3/23/25-Bulldozer (aka: Dozer) is a very sweet 3yr old neutered male English Bulldog/Boxer mix (aka: Valley Bulldog). He came into rescue today & is a very loved owner surrender that had some major life changes & financially couldn’t care for him any longer. They got him from a backyard breeder as he had a broken tail & abdominal hernia. The owner ended up having the hernia fixed when he was neutered. The vet said the tail injury was too old to fix but it doesn’t seem to bother him. His owner also said he is built like an English bulldog but with the boxer genes he doesn’t snore like the typical bulldog! Lol They said his lack of personal space may be his only drawback as he doesn’t know how heavy he is. Great with kids (but may accidentally squish littles lol), dogs & was good with cats when a puppy. We will test him with cats at his foster home. He goes Saturday 3/22 for vet check, shots & heartworm/lyme test & should be ready to go home soon after.
