(Since I am DEAF I need a home with another dog & someone home more often. Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc)

5/3/25-We did some hearing testing procedures at the foster today & we have determined that Orla is either partially/mostly deaf & only hears some pitches, or very likely is fully deaf even. For this reason she will need a home with another dog & someone home more often. (Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc).

4/28/25-Now that the pups are 6 weeks old & starting to show their personalities and temperaments, here is a brief description specific to Orla. Orla (the Queen) is rambunctious and can be a yapper if she isn’t getting the attention she wants. She is more inclined to play with the other dogs, and she does play rough, both with us and the other dogs. She can tend to be a bit of a bully, but not intentionally. She loves cuddles but doesn’t want to be held all the time. She is adventurous and curious, to put it mildly. Lol

3/31/25-Happy 2-week birthday Orla the only white puppy & she is a girl! We got a surprise a few weeks ago when foster boxer Jovie went in for her spay when the vet found out she was pregnant with at least 8 puppies! She gave birth on 3/17/25 (St. Patrick’s Day) to a whopping 11 boxer puppies! Sadly 2 were born already passed away inside her & 1 didn’t survive long, but she has 8 healthy babies. Her wonderful foster parents Tony & Jessica have been on top of everything with vet calls & visits & bottle feeding supplementally since Jovie is not producing enough milk.  Note: due to newly enacted laws last year in NY state, tail docking is not allowed so they do have natural/long full tails. They will not be able to have their tails done later either as it is an amputation after the first 2-3 days after birth.

They will be 8 weeks old the day after Mother’s Day, on Monday 5/12 & will be ready to go home after that. Since they will be young babies we only adopt them to homes with someone home more often. Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc. Also since we don’t meet part way or deliver dogs being adopted, you must be willing to drive to the foster home, near Watertown,NY, to pickup. We adopted to the following states: NY,CT,MA,VT,RI,ME & NH. Apply now to get on the approved list, but we won’t be matching puppies to new homes until they are at least 6 weeks old. More pictures & updates as they get bigger & their unique personalities come out!
