7/4/25-Ralphie won his freedom almost 2 months ago and is still looking for his happily-ever-after home.  This little boy has so much personality – A perfect mix of sweet & spicy!  He loves to be picked up and held like a baby and will rest his chin on your shoulder. He will snuggle on the couch or in his dog bed like a big boy. He is great in his crate overnight and will sleep in in the morning until he sees us moving around. Ralphie recently figured out how much length he has on the tie out and now runs in big circles with any and all balls that he can find, tossing them in the air and enjoying the outdoors. He has been doing great with potty training too and we have him on a strict routine for continued success! So far, the only thing he will not eat his raw carrot sticks lol.  He loves everything else under the sun so we are working on taking treats gently. As soon as he hears me press the button for ice on the refrigerator he comes running – Poster child for Pavlov!  Such a fun boy with so much potential! Ralphie has so many fans that his adoption fee is partially sponsored by donations now too!

6/26/25-Ralphie is such a sweet boy! We had him for a few nights before his transport to his foster home, and he was a joy to be with. Loved us, loved our dogs, he was easygoing and fun. He will make a wonderful addition to some lucky home! We can’t believe no one has scooped up this cute puppy!

6/21/25-Calling all fun puppy-loving beagle fans! Ralphie is definitely more beagle than bulldog as you can see. This is also the case with his personality but I do see a little headstrong bulldog too. Really only when I call him though – his body language says “I don’t hear you, I’m a bulldog and can do whatever I want” lol. He shows no resource guarding and allows us to take toys and food away from him with no difficulty. Ralphie is such a fun boy and continues to enjoy newfound toys and treats. We have learned that he loves all kinds of fruits but not a fan of carrots. He has a healthy appetite and has grown since we’ve had him so he recently got an upgrade to his crate. Now he’s really living like a king!  He’s doing pretty well with potty training but we do have to watch him. His 2nd eye cherry eye surgery unfortunately didn’t stay either so his cherry eyes make him look like a little devil dog but do not fear as they don’t bother him.  He is a happy-go-lucky little boy who has the best time doing zoomies in the yard and instigating play with our big boxer boy, and takes correction well from our senior boxer girls. One of his favorite toys is a squeaky tennis ball that he is able to fit in his little mouth! Who is ready for a fun and active bestie?!

6/9/25-After having Ralphie a few weeks now, I’m really surprised he hasn’t been scooped up yet! This little boy is all the fun and snuggling you will ever need! If you are looking for a walking partner, he’s up for it!  Any time, any place. Want to go for a ride in the country? Ralphie luvs the car and makes a great copilot!  Do you have a lazy pooch who may need to drop a few #s? Ralphie’s side gig as a personal trainer will get them moving and beach bod ready in no time!  Binge watching on the couch during non-stop rainy weekends? Ralphie has no preference – Prime, Hulu or Netflix, he’s just happy to sprawl out next to you! Heading to the brewery, winery, a friend’s house or campground? Ralphie is the social butterfly everyone wants to meet. We recently uncovered a few more positives about this boy, including no fear of thunderstorms or going potty in the rain. Whoot!  Ralphie even put himself to bed in his crate a few times over the past week which I was so impressed with!  He loves zooming around chasing ice cubes on the floor, and tasting every toy in the basket. When I am in the yard and he is inside, I catch him going from window to window like a little stalker, keeping an eye on his bestie. It’s so hilarious and cute!!!  If you love beagles, a cute little wiggle butt, and a big personality in a small package, Ralphie is your dude!!

6/2/25-Ralphie continues to enjoy life more and more since living in a house instead of the commercial mill. He absolutely loves his treats and is very motivated so will be easy to train, though I have not had sufficient time to do much work with him in this area. He has had a few accidents in the house though so I can tell he has become a little too comfortable lol!  He is a silly goofy puppy that loves all the attention he can muster. He’s got great little antics that get your attention-a bark here, a pounce there, pitiful eyes begging for pets, and roly-polies. He will get along in any house whether he’s got Alpha or submissive dogs around him. Younger or senior dogs are fine too, or no dogs at all! This boy is so adaptable!! He is a great car rider and will be a fantastic companion for road trips, stops at the brewery, or social events at friends. Get your app in if you are looking for this complete package!

5/29/25-Ralphie has snuggled his way right into the pack!!  He is doing so well with socializing & respecting my pack, I’m so proud of him! he is doing his business outside like a big boy and is in a great routine. He knows his name and is pretty good about coming when he’s called. He has a healthy appetite and I think has put on a pound since we’ve had him!  He is good in the crate overnight but during the day will chirp. He is excellent on a long lead in the yard but always wants eyes on you. If you go out of his sight he will chirp but otherwise sits and watches quietly, sometimes playing with tennis balls or Nylabones. Unfortunately one of his cherry eyes popped back out as often happens after cherry eye surgery.  While it looks red, this condition does not hurt him & at this point he will not have another surgery. He may need something done by his new owner in the future if it causes issues later.   He does not paw at the eye or have any vision issues however I am continuing to instill a steroid drop several times each day which he does not fuss over and helps decrease the redness and inflammation. More updates to come on this great little boy with a big personality! He is ready for his new home.

5/21/25-I just love everything about this cute little boy! From day 1, Ralphie has been such a perfect little houseguest!  He came in with a chill vibe which made my pack of dogs very relaxed and accepting. He quickly figured out who runs the roost and respects the pack order in the house. For a 6 month old pup, he sure is smart and intuitive! He barked a few times in his crate on the first night but now settles quietly and keeps his crate clean and dry. We have had zero accidents in the house and he is on a consistent routine so that he continues to succeed at potty training.  Ralphie is still getting eye medication a few times/day as he heals from his double cherry eye repair but doesnt seem to mind it. Ralphie loves to explore outside and the beagle in him is emerging with nose to the ground, sniffing everything multiple times and following important invisible trails.  Ralphie‘s bulldog genes are mostly expressed in his non-stop wagging little nubbin & luv of belly rubs!  He is always playing roly-poly – sucking you into his silly antics and pure sweetness.  His fun puppy personality has come out too and he loves bouncing and racing around the yard with my boxer boy.  He is submissive but not timid and has a little mama’s boy in him which is fine with me!  He just melts into you when you pick him up like a baby. He is a great couch buddy too and looks forward to snuggling in the bed with his furever family. Ralphie is ready to go home, don’t miss out on the awesome puppy!

05/13/25-Ralphie is a cute as a button 6-month-old male Beabull(English Bulldog/beagle). He came in from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell. He arrived safely into rescue today thanks to his transport & temporary foster volunteers. He had cherry eye fixed (common for English bulldogs) & recovering well. In the hour that he was at his temporary foster home he has eaten, drank water, gone potty outside, learned to go up and down stairs, and now he’s playing with his reflection on the dishwasher! Lol
