6/2/25-Sadie is continuing to do great. Doing a really good job at pottying outside.  She is quite long and short! Lol  She is definitely 100% sweetheart!

5/31/25-Hailey has quite a little personality, the sad couch face happens if we won’t share snacks. And she likes to sit with my dog by that window and monitor the neighbors. LOL

5/29/25-Hailey is such a sweet girl & doing well. She is mostly house trained as she hasn’t had any accidents in my house but I have sprinted her outside twice when I’m positive she would have. Sleeps fine in the crate with no accidents too in return for a bite of cheese. She doesn’t pull much on the leash because she wants to be on top of me at all times but she still sometimes doesn’t seem to understand why we are putting on the harness and leashes and dances just out of my reach away from me when I’m trying to get her out for a walk. She will need some leash training still.

5/27/25-Hailey is doing great & is very chill. No toy or food aggression at all. The only thing my own dog resource guards is me.  So he has corrected Hailey a few times when he feels she’s in his spot next to me and she moves right over immediately so he can have the spot he wants. She has no fear of people. My husband is a big guy at 6’3” and all the mini aussies I ever fostered were very scared of him. She is not scared at all. She sleeps fine in her crate in return for a bite of cheese or a treat. No barking or hurting herself once she’s in there.  She’s so easy!

5/19/25-Hailey is incredibly sweet. She has tolerated me trimming her nails a little. They’re really bad so we have been taking a little off at a time but likely need to do two more passes and I’m trying not to stress her out by doing a few clips at a time when she’s relaxed. So far she seems mostly house trained to me. We have had no accidents. She does ask to go out in an odd way though, she comes up and slaps you in the chest or shoulder. She does not whine or bark, she’s pretty quiet overall except when playing with my dog. We saw a little dog on a walk this morning and she loved him immediately, yet she was completely terrified of my larger dog for the first night. She is very submissive, she just ran away from him like she was on fire at first. I know another dog in her prior home was attacking her & her sister Alexis over food, so it will probably take a bit for her to adjust.

05/18/25-Hailey is a sweet almost 2 year old female boxer owner surrender that came in today thanks to our transport volunteers. Her owner is moving & can’t keep all his dogs due to a restriction on number of dogs allowed. She is the littermate of Alexis that came in recently too. Her vet checkup along with her spay, shots & heartworm/lyme test are on Wednesday 5/28. Once that is done & we get to know her better too she will be ready for her new home.
