MEET XENA

7/24/25-Xena is doing really well! She’s coming out more and starting to explore. She’s been bonding with our french bulldog Rainey, who’s been showing her the ropes. Xena is the sweetest girl—she absolutely loves attention and will happily stick by your side all day. On leash walks, she walks right next to you but makes sure to stop and check that you’re still there (and to see where you’re headed next!). She’s eating great and making steady progress with going potty outside. She is still very afraid of going through doors and the outside; but once she goes through, she does great!

7/18/25-Xena is home and recovering well from her spay! She’s been coming out on her own more and has started eating regularly. Still very skittish about the world, but she’s the sweetest little soul who absolutely loves attention. She is now ready to go to her new home.  Are you the one to give her love & help her bloom? 

7/12/25-Xena is doing so well! She’s getting better at eating — she still prefers wet food, but she’s slowly started to eat her dry food too. She’s also getting braver about coming out of her area on her own. She’ll come sit near you let you know she wants to sit into your lap. She truly is the sweetest dog. She will lick your hand or put her paw on you when she wants attention. Loud noises still scare her, and she’s still a bit hesitant about going through doors, but we’re working on it. Going outside is also a work in progress, but she’s making slow, steady strides every day. 

7/6/25-Xena is doing so well — she absolutely loves the safety and comfort of her crate. When she’s out, she stays close and wants to be near people. She’s still a timid girl and we’re working on getting her to eat regularly, but she’s making progress at her own pace. She’s has had no accidents in the crate and will walk on a leash, though she needs a little encouragement sometimes. She’s did have a couple accidents in the house, think she’s still afraid of the outside and not comfortable yet, but they were in the pee pads in her area. She doesn’t mind the cats or other dogs at all, and she even did amazing at the groomer. Slow and steady steps for this sweet girl.
