8/18/25-Daisy Faye had her pre-spay appointment last week & all went well. Her spay is now scheduled for Tuesday 8/26 & then she will be ready for her new home.

8/13/25-Daisy Faye is doing wonderful! She is so well mannered and loves to be with the humans. The first night we tried to crate her in my bedroom for bed but she howled and barked until let out. She prefers to be sleeping on the bed with a human. She seems to be okay in the crate for a handful of hours at a time during the day. She has her own crate next to my other dogs in their crates.   We are still working on leash walking. She has no problem following the pack around the yard, harness on with leash following but the minute you pick up the leash to hold she stops & lays down & will not walk again until you drop the leash. Lol She loves playing with toys even if she doesn’t fully understand what to do. She will wag her tail and chase the toy when you throw it, but she will just sit next to it.  She had her first spa day today as well. Our groomer was able to make time for Daisy during our dogs’ appointments, and she did SO well. Her house training is going great- zero accidents so far.

8/10/25-A full 24 hours with Daisy Faye and she is one truly special pup. Everything is new to her yet she seems to be a cautiously fast learner. She observes before doing – and LOVES Verbal Praise. She has gone up 3 stairs after watching my dog use them and then she sat down and looked up at me to signal that she was done! Lol She loves being outdoors and is still working on walking with a leash and harness. She reminds me of an old soul, stopping every now and again to take in the surroundings (smells, noises, scenery etc. ). I see Daisy growing into a very confident dog with patience and consistency. She is learning a lot from our family’s two dogs- so she will certainly thrive in a home with other dogs, but due to the aforementioned confidence she could also be an only fur child with experienced dog owners. Daisy Faye is a GEM. There is a big personality beneath the uncertainty. She loves to snuggle and be cozy. She will be a special addition to a lucky family!

8/9/25-Daisy Faye is relaxing while she adjusts to the sounds, smells and cadence of her foster home! She is a very smart girl and learns quickly. I have her in this little outdoor pop-up crate while she becomes familiar instead of her actual crate that will be used for sleeping in.

08/08/25-Daisy Faye is a beautiful 5 year old female blenheim color(red & white) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She came in from a commercial breeder as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. Typical of ex-breeder dogs she has some dental disease & 1 extraction done & may have another pulled while under for her spay. She has her pre-spay appointment next Thursday 8/14 & we hope to have her spay setup for soon after that. Once she is spayed she will be ready to go to her new home.
