9/10/25-Our foster Meadow takes “bougie” up a notch or two. She is a furry Frenchie. She is house and crate trained and walks good on leash. She has been tested with dogs and is eager to play. She likes cats… cats not so fond of her. Lol  She’s good with kids over 4.  She has A LOT of personality! I mean look at that face!  She’s definitely bossy though, the typical “frenchie ‘tude”! Lol. She makes me laugh with her little stance she does.  It took a few days but all the dogs seem to have found their rhythm. However my dogs are pretty submissive. She was spayed today & did great. She is ready to go to her forever home. Could it be you?

9/7/25-Meadow continues to do great. She’s funny and a bit quirky and hasn’t met a toy she doesn’t like. She sleeps all night in her crate and is prompt to do her business when she goes out in the morning. She’s enjoys her walks and keeps up with the big dogs. And she’s more of a belly rub than treats for praise type gal.  On nice days we go out for 30 minute intervals every few hours and she gets some energy out. Today, it’s raining, and I’m noticing that her pent up energy is released by chewing. On the bright side; put any stuffed toy in front of her and that will do.
She continues to get along with the dogs but I don’t think she’ll need another dog in the house to be happy. She’s quite happy being the center of attention.

9/5/25-Some more updates on little Meadow! She’s doing fine in her crate. If she’s tired out she goes right in and lays down with her toys. If she’s not tired she’ll bark but not consistently. If I tell her “no barking” she actually stops. lol  Then she may do it one or 2 more times and I repeat “no barking” and that about it. She’s sleeping through the night. I can hear her snoring as I type this.  Lol
Potty trained: yes *I also am pretty consistent with the dogs though. I haven’t tested the “wait and see”.
Walks good on leash and loves to play outside with the dogs and my daughter. She also reminds me of a giraffe or goat grabbing at leaves and flowers of any plant we walk past. Lol
Cats: her first 24hrs here she found sport in chasing the cats. She wasn’t mean or aggressive. Just more playful and curious. That’s until our cat Bandit had enough of it and swatted at her.  She now has a healthy sense of fear and chasing of the cats has ceased.
Dogs:  She plays well with my dogs but also likes to boss them around. She’s not mean but there’s definitely some posturing going on. Typical frenchie little dog big personality! lol My dogs are also pretty easy going and submissive.  Would probably not be best with another dominant dog.
She hasn’t met a toy she doesn’t like and enjoys a good game of fetch. I tire her out before bed tossing her toy from the kitchen to the living room. A few throws and she’s ready for bed .
She’s been itching so I’ve changed her food to Purina ProPlan sensitive skin and stomach.
She has a bigger than life personality! She’s spunky and playful and oh that face and those eyes! Although I swear she’s judging me sometimes and not even secretly. Haha

9/4/25-Good morning!  Meadow is rarely standing still and tough to get a picture of. Lol Outside she sees me take the phone out and she comes running at me.

9/3/25-Day 2: Meadow slept all night in her crate. I could hear her rustling around but there was no barking. She got up with me at 6am to go out and then had some breakfast.
She was content to hang out with me while I worked. She had a blast playing outside in the grass with the dogs. She decided to be a little more investigative with the cats and found that they don’t enjoy being chased. Lol  She is very clever and made a jailbreak of her own not once but twice today by unzipping not only the top but also the back of her crate. Oops!
She has her spay appointment on September 10th.

9/2/25-Fresh from the shelter “jailbreak” Day 1:

I knew instantly Meadow was a sweet dog when she snuggled her head into my neck as she was being transferred to me from the “get away car”.  At home introductions were made and she hit it off just fine with our dogs. Meadow wasn’t too sure about the cats and, in all fairness, they weren’t sure what to make of her.  Meadow had little interest sleeping on the bed so I made up a soft place for her to sleep in her little tent crate, with some toys, and sent her to bed.  All in all a pretty success day!

9/3/25-Meadow is as sweet as she looks! Hasn’t met a belly scratch she doesn’t like. Was instant friends with our other furry housemates and loves a good game of fetch.
She’s a hoot!

09/02/25-Meadow is a cute as a button sweet about 2 year old fuzzy coated French Bulldog that was a stray to a shelter we work with & no one claimed them. She came in today thanks to her transport volunteer. Her spay is next Wednesday 9/10 & will get her heartworm/lyme test then too. Once we get her spayed & get to know her better too she will be ready to go to her new home.
