11/01/25-Good morning from Amber.  I got brave this morning.  I got in the recliner with my foster mom. My foster sister Roxy was ok with it. I soaked up lots of love. Is anyone out there needing a great companion?

10/14/25-Good evening, All. Amber here with an update. I am just hanging out with my pal Roxy. We get along well. I now have a regular routine. I wake up in my crate between 7 am and 8 am. Then I scramble outside to do my business. Then I get a nice bowl of food and some water. If it is a workday in the office mom leaves me in the crate but Roxy is hanging out with me in the family room. It is a quiet day. At @ 5 pm mom gets home. Roxy and I cannot get close enough to her. We are jumping around trying to get the most attention and hurrying her to get us out and then fix our dinner. We all hang out until bedtime. I go into my crate and get more pets before bed. Did I mention I am the cutest? I am a pretty chill girl. I love attention anytime. When company comes I have to see what they are all about. I am adorable too. Does anyone have a comfy couch or bed for me? I promise to be a good girl.  Amber

19/6/ 26 Amber here. I am doing well in my foster home. I am all healed up from my spay. Now I can run around the yard. I am sleeping in my crate at night. When my foster mom has to go out or to the office I hang out in my crate. Once foster Mom is back home Roxy and I let her know how much we missed her being around. We are very excited to see her. When foster mom has worked all day it is time for dinner. I do a great job eating all my food. Treats are great too. I am still spooked easily at times. Sudden movements and noises can startle me. My favorite place to be is on the couch with my friend Roxy. It would be great if my forever home has a playmate for me to hang out with, but I am sure I will be okay as a spoiled one & only dog too. I love people giving me attention. There have been repairmen and friends in the house. I am cautious at first, but I do enjoy the added pets. It is time for bed – good night all.  I will be dreaming of my new home coming hopefully soon!

9/21/25-Happy Sunday all!  Roxy and I enjoyed our Saturday.  We have now become friends.  Roxy is sharing the sofa with me and the loveseat on the patio. She doesn’t mind me eating from her bowl and I let her eat from mine. It is nice to have a friend.

9/20/25-Amber here I am doing well at my foster home. I have a boxer friend. Her name is Roxy. She is starting to be friendly and we are becoming friends. I am eating well and enjoying treats. I get treats when I get in my crate. I take one gently and there is always a spare for me to find later. I go outside to do my business & only have had one accident. I don’t bark much.  I have figured out how to get on the couch – it is very comfortable. I am healing from my spay and cannot wait until I can really run around. I met my foster mom’s family and a couple friends. I like them all. They give me attention and I love them petting me. While I wait for my forever home I am being well taken care of and enjoying my time with my foster mom and Roxy. I am including some pictures. They show how adorable I am. By the way I definitely have a wiggle butt once I am comfortable.  Do you want me to come be part of your family? I am ready to go home. Have a great day! Woof!!

9/11/25-Amber was spayed today, had her heartworm/lyme test which was all negative & is heading back to her foster home. She did well during her spay with no issues. This vet said heard a possible grade 4 heart murmur but since the estimate of murmur was only grade 2 a year ago it is possible it is more like a 3. Grading a murmur at a vet is very subjective as they just listen to a dog’s heart with a stethoscope. Stress & anxiety at the vet may make it sound worse at that moment. Her future forever home will want to have their vet monitor this & they may suggest she needs further testing down the road. Amber loves playing with the other boxer in the house & no issues. More updates soon.

9/9/25-Good evening, I am Amber. My foster mom picked me up on 9/6/25 after a very long ride. I am starting to settle in with the routine of her house and Roxy, her boxer. I am very comfortable with the house and yard to roam. So far, I am going outside for all potty breaks. I have been spending my time out on the patio with my foster family. I run around the yard sniffing all the new smells. Foster Mom says I am a good girl, very sweet with the cutest face. I like chilling with her outside too. My smile is a little crooked and I hang my tongue out a lot. I like to follow foster mom around to keep tabs on what she is doing. I have to go to the vet on Thursday 9/11. I am not sure about that experience. I will give you an update after the appointment.

09/06/25-Amber is a beautiful 4 year old brindle female boxer that came in today along with Lila from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need them anymore. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. Her vet record from last year says she has a grade 2 heart murmur. We will have that checked out during her spay next Thursday 9/11. Once she is spayed, she will be ready to go home soon after that.
