10/22/25-Mimi is doing well and settling in. She is a nervous little pup but once she trusts you, you will be her best friend. She is pretty easily won over with treats. We are working on getting her consistently housebroken as we have now had a few accidents otherwise Mimi has settled in pretty easily. We did encounter a few nights of some barking in the crate but that seems to have subsided as she settled in. Mimi really is a lovable little pup with those she knows and trusts. If she is nervous, she will either put herself in her crate or find another “safe” spot. Once she adjusts to the situation a bit she will slowly and carefully check out new situations/visitors etc. On a few occasions I’ve come home to find Mimi shaking in her crate. The other dogs are calm and quiet, our security cameras haven’t picked up any loud noises or people ringing the bell etc she quickly settles once we are home so I’m not sure what is causing the nervousness as 99% of the time she is fine. I thought we had worked through this but it happened again today so figured it was worth noting. Previous owner had her on anxiety meds at once point so I’m wondering if this was part of the reason why but I’m also confused as it seems to happen very randomly. Hopefully this will resolve with a bit more time. Mimi is the sweetest, most lovable pup. I will get more pictures soon!
