10/26/25-Poor Patches had a long week last week recovering from his neuter but he rallied to join us for a weekend away in the Berkshires and is feeling better than ever! This boy joined us for an almost 2 mile hike to Bish Bash falls and was a gentleman on the leash, the perfect lap dog to keep me warm around the fire, and didn’t mind the busy streets of Great Barrington (people or dogs one bit!). I truly couldn’t believe how well adjusted he seems for just starting to explore the outside world. He is starting to show his playful side and an interest in bones and toys too. Warning: this boy may force you to spend a little longer under the covers in the morning, 10/10 cuddle partner. Fair to say he was the cutest patch amongst the pumpkins! Patches is now ready for his new home.
10/13/25-Forget the apples and pumpkins, Patch wants everyone to know he’ll be the best thing you pick this fall! This sweet boy is settling in so nicely. He loves chin scratches and will repay you with gentle kisses. He seems to know that the yard is for potty and has had no accidents in the house. He did well on the leash the first few days but has graduated to trotting independently in the fenced yard, though likes to follow around his people so is never too far. He is eating soft food, will introduce kibble soon and loves a good bacon treat. He is great in the crate! He prefers to sleep where he can see some humans but aside from that doesn’t make a peep all night. He certainly doesn’t seem to be as skittish as some commercial breeder dogs. Could certainly do well with any kids over 4, other dogs and maybe dog savvy cats too..have not seen a large prey drive. Patch/Patches weighs 16 lbs, the perfect size for travel, but big enough to have some fun adventures with. I have a feeling he will continue to adjust very quickly and I’m looking forward to seeing his athletic poodle traits showcased. He has a beautiful merle spotted hair coat. He will be ready for adoption following his neuter on Wednesday!
10/12/25-Introducing Patches. What a sweet little face and a beautiful spotted silver coat. He is exploring the yard before the storm comes. He has settled in nicely and already knows he’s loved. After a few hours of adjusting he had his front paws on our shoulders and was asking for kisses.
10/10/25-Patches is a handsome 4 year old miniature poodle. He came in today from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need him anymore. He arrived safely into rescue thanks to his transport & overnight volunteers. His neuter appointment is next Wednesday 10/15. He will be ready to go home soon after that.
