10/18/25-Poppy has been here for a week and is doing great!  She was spayed on Thursday and is recovering well.  She is so sweet and so easy!  House and crate trained and working on leash training.  Great with dogs and cats. She is going to make a great addition to a lucky family.

10/16/25-Sweet Poppy was spayed today. She did great and is home resting. She will be ready to go home in a few days!

10/15/25-Poppy’s pre-spay went well today & no medical issues found. She is being spayed tomorrow as planned. Poppy rides well in the car, is house and crate trained. Learning for leash trained (hopefully she gets that soon!)

10/13/25-I ordered some new onesies in preparation for Poppy’s spay this week. I have found them to be much less traumatic and more comfortable than the dreaded cone. She didn’t mind wearing it at all and she looks so cute too!

10/12/25-Poppy is doing so well! She went from not wanting to eat, to hand feeding this morning, and this evening she ate her whole bowl of dinner all by herself. She continues to sleep through the night in her crate and has not had a single accident in the house… I hope I didn’t just jinx myself! She doesn’t understand how to walk on a leash yet so her “walk” today consisted of me carrying her. Lol I think once we bring another dog along on the walk to show her how it’s done she will be fine. She continues to love to be pet, has learned how great treats are, and is becoming quite comfortable with her new life.

10/11/25-Poppy is settling in nicely. She slept through the night and had a clean crate in the morning. She is drinking water, but not so sure about the food quite yet. She did enjoy a small piece of cheese though! She comes when called and loves to be pet. She seems to be fine with my two small dogs and cat. She has an adorable face, beautiful fur, and sweet personality!

10/10/25-Poppy has arrived! She is settling in nicely. She is a beauty and is weighing in at 21 lbs. Poppy arrived tonight and is so ready for her new life of freedom! She is already proving to be a sweetie and is adjusting to house life quickly.

10/10/25-Poppy is a sweet 2 year old female Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/miniature poodle). She came from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. Her pre-spay is next Wednesday & her spay is Thursday 10/16. After she is spayed she will be ready to go to her new home.
