11/6/25-CAPITOL BROADCAST: DISTRICT PUG UPDATE. Transmission from the Capitol.
Citizens of Panem, the Capitol is delighted to bring you the latest update on our beloved Tribute from District Pug, Primrose Pugglesteen. Reports confirm that Prim’s training continues with remarkable success in the arena of Culinary Preferences. After extensive testing, we can officially declare:
Primrose adores cheese and peanut butter…
but has bravely rejected apples. Analysts are calling this a bold dietary choice—some say strategic, others say deliciously defiant. The Capitol applauds her refined palate and unwavering loyalty to the creamy and the cheesy.Stay tuned for further updates as Tribute Pugglesteen continues her heroic journey toward snack-based victory. “May the treats be ever in your flavor.” End of Transmission.

11/5/25-Primrose Pugglesteen: Recovery of a Tribute. Yesterday, Primrose Pugglesteen of District Pug faced her next great challenge — the Capitol’s veterinary arena. There, she underwent her spay procedure, received her rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccines, and completed her 4Dx(heartworm lyme test) blood panel. She stepped onto the scales at a delicate 11.6 pounds, small in size but mighty in spirit. Her surgery was smooth and uneventful — a quiet victory. But every Tribute faces hidden battles. The medics discovered an ear infection and a tick-borne illness known as Anaplasmosis. Thankfully, both can be treated. Primrose now carries a small arsenal of healing aids: medicine for her ears, antibiotics to fight the infection, and gentle pain relief to soothe her recovery. For the next couple of weeks, she must rest — no running through the arena, no leaping into laps — just healing, warmth, and quiet resilience. The odds are in her favor. When she returned home from the Capitol, her joy was radiant. Tail wagging, eyes bright, she greeted us like a victor returning from battle — weary but triumphant, grateful to be safe, loved, and home once more.

11/3/25-Primrose Pugglesteen arrived safely on November 2nd, thanks to an incredible team of volunteers and transport angels. At first, she was shy and trembling, unsure of what was happening. But during the final stretch home, she climbed right into our daughter’s lap, soaking up warmth and reassurance for the rest of the ride. Once home, Prim got a much-needed bath, a cozy snuggle session, and a hearty meal. She was very eager to eat—so much so that her dinner disappeared in seconds! This morning, she graduated to a slow feeder bowl. Prim is quite thin right now, her ribs still visible, but with her healthy appetite, she’ll be filling out in no time. She’s already met our pug pack (three strong!) and wasted no time exploring, playing with toys, and getting acquainted with her new surroundings. Prim is curious, affectionate, and playful—but not overly wild. She enjoys short bursts of happy prancing followed by long, cozy naps (ideally on your lap, of course). Last night, she slept in a soft, blanket-filled crate in our daughter’s room—complete with plush toys and a chew she hand-picked “just for Prim.” After a few minutes of whimpering, she settled right in and slept through the night. We did find a little accident in her crate this morning, but that’s okay—it’s all part of learning the ropes in a new home. She’ll have a fresh, clean bed tonight. Though she’s only just arrived, one thing is already crystal clear: Primrose is pure sweetness. She’s affectionate, gentle, and submissive, rolling over for belly rubs and gifting soft, grateful kisses. She’s clearly thankful to have been rescued and will make training easy with her strong food motivation. There’s so much more to learn about this little angel—but for now, she’s safe, warm, loved, and grateful to be rescued.

11/3/25-Primrose Pugglesteen: The Tribute of District Pug. On the second day of November, under the watchful eyes of the rescue alliance, Primrose Pugglesteen arrived safely from her long journey through the Districts. Her transport team—brave volunteers worthy of Capitol medals—delivered her into loving arms. Though trembling and unsure, Primrose found courage in the lap of our young victor-in-training, drawing warmth and comfort for the final leg of her passage home. Once through the gates, Primrose was treated to a well-earned cleansing bath, a grand feast, and the kind of snuggles only the victors of comfort can know. Hungry from her travels, she devoured her meal with fierce determination—so fiercely that her next breakfast came with a slow feeder bowl, a wise gift from her mentors. She’s thin now, her ribs marking her survival story—but her spirit burns bright, and strength is already returning to her small frame. She met our resident pug pack—three seasoned companions from earlier Games—and greeted them with curiosity and quiet confidence. No chaos, no fear. Just that spark of playful rebellion. She prances in short, joyful bursts, then collapses into naps of victory, best enjoyed in the safety of a waiting lap. That night, she slept in her mentor’s quarters—our daughter’s room—nestled in a crate lined with soft blankets, plush tokens, and a chew toy chosen with care. She whimpered only briefly before surrendering to sleep, dreaming of the new life she’s earned. A small accident greeted us in the morning, but in the Reaping of fresh starts, such things are forgiven. Tonight, her bed will be clean, her heart lighter. Even in these first days, her character is unmistakable: Primrose is gentle, loyal, and brave. She rolls onto her back in quiet submission, offers soft kisses of gratitude, and radiates the kind of hope that can outshine the Capitol lights themselves. She’s food-driven, yes—but that hunger is her power. It will guide her training, her recovery, and her transformation from survivor to champion of the couch. Primrose Pugglesteen of District Pug—rescued, resilient, and ready for her victory tour. May the odds be ever in her favor!

11/2/25-Meet Primrose Pugglesteen. She rode the whole way home in my daughter’s lap. She just got home, had a nice bath and is getting to know her new suroundings and our pug pack.Right now she’s scared, curious and very sweet. We’ve been home with Prim for less than an hour. She’s clearly happy to be here & be dry, warm, clean and fed. She’s going to need a slow feeder bowl though as these pups did go without food.

11/02/25-Primrose Pugglesteen is an adorable about 9 month old female puggle (pug/beagle) rescued from an overcrowded backyard breeder along with 4 other puggle & puggle terrier mix puppies. She has arrived safely thanks to her transport volunteers. We have had many others in past from this breeder & they have all been very sweet & great dogs. She has her vet checkup, spay & shots on Tuesday 11/4. After we get to know Primrose a little bit more she will be ready to go home.
