3/11/26-Ozzie was neutered last Friday and when we went to pick him up, he walked out of the vets just like he been at the spa all day long. He is progressing very nicely walking on a leash however sometimes his attention span where he  stops and wants to watch something. Obedience training class will definitely get him on the right track. As far as crate training goes, after we do last call at night to go outside, he’s going right over to the crate and getting into it and settles right down. I think the best part is watching him encounter new things and his keen interest in discovering what this thing is. If there is anything he’s gonna get him in trouble it’s his boxer nose bumping or nudging things just to see what they do. He’s playing with balls and tug-of-war ropes and sometimes it’s a shirt that he has scooped out of the laundry basket. What can I say? He’s a 9 month old puppy who just wants to experience EVERYTHING.  The biggest thing I appreciate from him is that he’s not a jumpy puppy. When he greets people it’s more of a stare and wait till he feels comfortable and then he walks up with tail wiggling. He is not like a bouncy, toy jumping or knocking anything over type boy. He absolutely loves, loves, loves playing with other dogs. Whether it’s wrestling and jaw jacking or playing keep away with a toy. He is very easy-going in that respect which leads me to the comment that he would be a great second dog or a dog park dog. He definitely needs leadership and a family that will put parameters to his behavior. He immediately responds to no or stop, which for me is an excellent test in his behavior and ability to learn. It was very rewarding to see him transition from relating to other dogs to the third or fourth day, when he saw the other dogs getting loved on and petted and their ears rubbed. All of the sudden he decided he wanted in on that action. Now he will seek out affection and attention on his own and truly enjoys close contact. You can’t help but look into Ozzie’s face and not fall in love. With total confidence, I can say that if your family has smaller children(4 & up) he would very easily acclimate to being respectful of their size because he is so responsive to corrections in behavior.  The greatest compliment I can give him is, that if I could adopt him, I would in a heartbeat!!!  He’s now ready for his new lucky home.

3/6/26-Ozzie did just fine with his neutering… Walked out of the vet like he has spent the day at the spa, no worse for the wear or tear. oh to be 9 months old! Lol

3/4/26-Ozzie is a beautiful gorgeous, looking dog, very calm for his age, and delightfully curious about everything. He is what a fisherman calls…. “a keeper”.

3/2/2026 Ozzie has a beautiful 9 month old male boxer with a jet black coat (sealed brindle) with white markings on his chest and feet and he is quite the looker. He came in Saturday night from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell. Needless to say he is going through the basic commercial breeder transition to living in a real home and every day he’s making discoveries and improving. He is still a little bit apprehensive about going through doorways and going into the crate and who are those voices coming out of the TV. He is very calm and interested anytime anybody comes in the house and warms up within minutes. He has been introduced to two other boxers on Sunday and that’s when the personality came out… it didn’t take long for the rock ‘n’ roll boxer wrestlemania to start and Ozzie thoroughly enjoys all the action. Considering he’s only been here for 48 hours; he is doing very well transitioning to living the good life. He would make an excellent second dog in the house because of his easy-going demeanor. Ozzie will be neutered this Friday 3/6 & then ready for his final home shortly after that.
