4/21/26-Alya has been enjoying her freedom for 11 days now. She is healing nicely from her spay surgery. She loves to always be by your side. She will walk in front of you, and she is always standing on her hind paws for you to pick her up. Alya is taking advantage of her new ability to jump up on furniture. She is exploring everything that is in her sight even if it is on a table that she can reach or even in your purse because you forgot to zipper it closed. Alya is still learning how to navigate the stairs. She does not want to be confined. Alya is able to move the fence that surrounds her crate. Alya was okay with being crated last night with only a few whimpers. Alya was very upset when she was put in her crate while no one was home this morning. Alya gets along with my other dogs and cats, but she will growl at them when she is sitting next to me in a chair. Otherwise, there are no issues any other time. Alya wants to be on your lap during car rides. She will do her business outside as long as you let her out on a regular basis. She is okay with a leash. She tends to walk behind you. She is interested in meeting new people and didnt mind my 6 yr old granddaughter petting her. Today Alya chased a leaf that was blowing away. That was the first time that I saw her play. Alya will need additional training to teach her some manners. Alya is such a sweetheart and extremely easy to fall in love with.
4/15/26-Alya was afraid of the outside for the first two days of her freedom. The third day she started to enjoy being outside although she didn’t understand why I was saying “Yes, good job” when all she was doing was her bathroom business. She just tagged her tail. She sleeps inside a gated area around her crate without too much of a fuss. Alya has learned to go to the kitchen door to go outside in the morning. We are still working on going outside the rest of the time too. She has walked on a leash but for now she is mainly following you. She did great when I gave her a bath. Alya has a dew claw on both of her
back paws that will need to be trimmed when her nails are cut. Alya had her pre-spay appointment Tuesday. She was very sweet, calm, and gentle for the Doctor and vet nurses for her spay today. She will be ready for her furever home soon. Alya just wants to be with you wherever you are.
04/10/26-Alya is a sweet 5 year old female Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/miniature poodle). She came from a commercial breeder as they just didn’t need her anymore. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. Alya was not fond of the bumps on the way to her foster home and gave her driver Jeanine a dirty look each time. Lol Alya enjoyed looking at the scenery though on the drive. She has her pre-spay appointment on Tuesday 4/14 & her spay is Wednesday 4/15. After she is spayed & we get to know her a little bit she will be ready to go to her new home.
