07/29/2022 – Has it been just a little over a week since Laycee has come to stay with us? She is certainly a lively puppy. Whether we are outside in the yard or in the house, this girl loves to run wild….she’s a free spirit who loves to play and is mischievous. She is loving this new freedom and takes full advantage of it. She knows when I’m reprimanding her but it doesn’t stop her to go back and get into whatever she is getting into.

She’s starting to understand some words like inside and no…..each one she decides to accept on her own terms…..she’ll wait to make sure my boys are inside before she goes barreling in, sometimes, she’ll surprise me and be the first one in and wait at the top of the stairs for my boxer boy. He’s older and is not thrilled with the girls being here – he has places he can escape to, lol. When Laycee is at the top of the stairs waiting to pounce and play with him, he just looks at me as if to say, “Really Mom?”

Since being here and eating wonderfully, Laycee has gained a pound – it amazed me when I weighed her because of all the energy she has that she actually gained. Puppy growth, I love it! This lively girl is waiting for a family to call her own, with love, patience and training, she will not disappoint you!

07/21/2022 – Laycee came into rescue last week thanks to the work of some awesome volunteers. She came in with another Aussie Doodle puppy and together they are having a blast! Laycee has some hearing & is your typical puppy, happy go lucky, mischievous and rambunctious! Her crate has been dry through the night but she has had some accidents in the house. She’s a puppy and needs to be trained. She’s living with 2 foster brothers who are showing her the ropes.

More to come on lively Laycee as she adjusts to her new life. Thankfully, she was released from the puppy mill before she could be used for breeding. Sadly, she was released because they didn’t deem her as a sellable puppy. She doesn’t know how lucky she is!

7/19/22-Laycee is a sweet Mini Aussiedoodle (Miniature poodle/Australian Shepherd) that came from a puppy mill as they couldn’t sell her as they said she is deaf. Her foster home found she hears some pitches/sounds but not all so she is only partially deaf. Updates soon from her foster home!
