6/2/26-Chip did great with his neuter today! He is a great car rider too.
6/1/26-Chip is such a good boy. Still quite timid. He doesn’t come to me yet, but doesn’t run away. Just stays in place and lays down. Let’s me pick him up and pet him no problem. He would love a dog to play with. His neuter got bumped up to tomorrow 6/2 & soon after he will be ready to go to his new home.
5/28/26-Chip has had a great first 24 hours with me. He has been eating well, drinking, and has done all of his “business” outside. He slept through the night in his crate without a peep. He loves to be outside in the yard, but also enjoys lounging inside. He loves my dogs and makes little noises to play with them, but they aren’t too interested quite yet. He has been around my cat and has shown no interest in him & has been fine with my cat. He enjoys being held and curls right up in my lap. He has gone on two car rides and has done great! He is a little timid, but I have no doubt he will open up as soon as he becomes more comfortable with this big, new change.
Here is comment also from his transport volunteer: “Chip was so well-behaved in the car for us. He is the stinking cutest thing ever.”
5/27/26-Chip is a sweet 18 month old, little 19lb sheltie (aka: Shetland sheepdog) that came in from a commercial breeder today thanks to a great volunteer. The breeder was going out of business. For those old enough to remember, he looks like a miniature “Lassie” from the old movies & tv shows! He got his shots updated tonight & his pre-neuter appointment is Monday 6/8 & his neuter on Tuesday 6/9. Once his is neutered he will be ready for his new home. It is extremely rare to see this breed in rescue so we know the little guy will be adopted fast! Get your applications in now.
