6/18/26-Timber had a cat test earlier this week at a local pet store with cats up for adoption. He did great & was actually afraid of them. Lol His foster mom did find great news at Costco for his Vetmedin cardiac medication he needs. They sell this medication & it’s only $56 a month instead of the $160 from the vet. 

6/5/26-Timber has been doing great & acting like a normal boxer puppy playing with toys & the other 2 dogs in his foster home.  He saw the dog cardiologist & the doctor agreed with the diagnosis. Unfortunately there are only 2 places known in the world that do this extreme open heart surgery to repair the issue Timber has & it also costs $55,000 or more to do. So the alternative is he was put on Vetmedin cardiac medication which is about $160 per month. He will need a follow up in 6 months with the new owner’s canine cardiologist to check his dosage as he grows. Sadly even with medication his life expectancy is only about 2 years.  He is looking for someone to love him & take care of his medical needs for as long as he has.  His adoption fee is also fully sponsored by donations.  

 

5/18/26-Timber had his neuter today & that went well. The vet confirmed he has a grade 3 heart murmur & we did an ultrasound too as the vet heard something else going on with his heart. Timber was diagnosis is tricuspid valve deficiency which occurs when the valve between the right atrium and right ventricle leaks, causing blood to flow backward. This is something the dog cardiologist specialist will look at on Friday 6/5 to see what the next steps are (if needs medication or can

possibly be surgically corrected). Updates again after his specialist appointment in a few weeks.

5/16/26-Meet precious Timber, an almost 6 month old baby boxer boy. He will be neutered and evaluated by one of our highly respectable vets on 5/18/26 before available for adoption.
He’s only been with me a few hours, but he’s adorable and moved right into my pack of dogs (female boxer & male boston terrier) within the hour. He’s figuring out toys and dog beds as I write this. So please stay tuned as we get to know this so far completely awesome puppy.

5/15/26-Timber is a sweet 6 month old boxer puppy that came into rescue today thanks to hid transport & overnight volunteers. He was surrender by a commercial breeder as he didn’t pass the sales health certificate to sell as he has a heart murmur. Our subsequent initial vet check upon arriving shows a grade 3 out of 6
