6/15/26-Someone gave up a terrific well behaved dog. Ted loves other dogs – ignores the cat. Seems be housebroken.

6/13/26-Ted has arrived to her foster home. Updates soon!

6/7/26-Ted is at his temporary foster home until his transport this coming weekend. Ted is such an amazing little boy! We sprung him from one of our shelter partners where he had been for just over a week. When I saw him behind the kennel gate, I just knew we had to help him. Despite the hard kennel floor, loud noises, filthy coat & painfully long nails, and confusion about where his family could be, he seemed like such a happy little boy. Ted was found as stray and not claimed. A shelter employee thought they recognized him from previous captures, and that he may be related to another stray we pulled (Bo Peep). We were not certain as they came in a week apart, but they did seem instantly connected once I got them home. We found out later the story below. While they follow each other around, they are content being independent too. Ted is a confident and chill little dude. He is starting to find toys around the house, but his favorite pastimes are mostly to eat, nap & explore the yard. Oh did I say eat? Ted LOVES his food! He is extremely food motivated and dances on his hind legs when the bowls come out!! My boxer boy seems to want to play with him but Ted is not so sure. He’s not afraid of him but respects his size and boundaries. Ted seems to be house trained – he has marked a few times but NO accidents! Ted likes his crate trained and will go in on his own if the door is left open. He’s very quiet and I think we’ve only heard him bark once! This boy is a total keeper!!

6/5/26-Ted is a nice Silky terrier mix that came into rescue tonight with Bo Peep a Yorkshire terrier mix from a great shelter we work with. We say mix for both as without DNA tests by new owners we don’t know if they are purebred. They originally came in as strays but the shelter found the owner & got a little more info. Apparently the owner has many children and the fence gate was always left open. They have been captured by the shelter 5 times at least! The owner finally decided to surrender when they were captured last week because she does love them and did not want them to be hit by a car. I can tell they were loved for sure. The shelter said the owner spent a fortune on them…probably on reclaim fees. They both are very happy dogs, he is extremely food motivated where she prefers lovins. Neither will be in rescue long for sure!
