8/20/22-Maisy has been the greatest houseguest. She loves everyone and every dog she meets. She’s such a happy girl with lots of butt wagging. She takes cues quickly from the other dogs. They had to have gotten her birthdate wrong because she loves to play as soon as she gets up. She loves to run and play in the yard (and house) with our 2.5 year old bulldog mix. She’s super sweet and waits patiently with the other 3 dogs for their morning biscuit from my 75 year old mom. She’s soft and snuggly on a cool morning or late night. She’s just the best girl. Can’t believe she hasn’t been snatched up yet.
8/9/22-Maisy has been with us a week now and she’s the easiest boxer I’ve worked with. She loves playing with bones and hanging out with her people. She’s so spunky despite her 8 years of wisdom. She loves the pets and snuggles. Someone definitely loved this girl and it shows. One thing we noticed is that she won’t leave through a doorway first, the human has to go first. Very respectful. We had the cable guy visit the house and she politely greeted him and then basically ignored him. She’s definitely not a watch dog. LOL. She will however get up and follow when one of the other dogs barks and runs. She is crated when we leave but I get a feeling she may not even need to be crated when we’re gone. We’re enjoying her company while she’s here, but she’s waiting for that perfect forever home to snatch her up.
8/5/22-Maisy has been with us for a couple days now and she’s been a dream. She has a beautiful velvet feeling coat and she’s so soft when she snuggles with you….which is often. She loves all of us humans. She even met a baby and was slightly interested but mostly respectful. I haven’t heard her bark yet, but she gets all squiggles and nub wagging when we get home. Even when we just talk to her, that little nub is going like crazy and her eyes show so much love. She’s such a happy easy going girl. She’s starting to play with bones and run with my 2 year old dog. Squeaky toys interest her but she’s not quite sure what to do with them yet. LOL. And she must’ve shared breakfast with her last owner because she patiently waits (and loves) for the last bite of egg and cheese sandwich. She’s going to make somebody very happy in her new home.
8/2/22-Sweet Maisy has arrived at her foster home and is resting comfortably after her spay yesterday. I’ll post another update as we get to know her. What I can tell you is that when my kids call her name and go up to her that her little tail goes a mile a minute.
7/27/22-Maisy arrived at her temporary foster home after being retired from breeding at puppy mill. Her owners said “She was a family pet but we got a puppy & can’t keep both”. Life is only going up from here for Maisy!
