10/7/26-Tommy explored the neighborhood this afternoon. I am quite impressed with his leash walking! It’s definitely not perfect, but pretty great for a puppy!
10/5/26-Tommy had a big adventure today! He headed to PetSmart to practice his leash-walking skills, and for his very first time, he did AMAZING! Of course, Tommy’s favorite part wasn’t the leash… it was meeting ALL the people! Lol He happily loved everyone he met, and it’s safe to say the feeling was mutual. Tommy is proving that he’s ready to take on the world, one little adventure at a time!
10/4/26-Tommy is 100% puppy, and he is absolutely adorable! He loves snuggles, belly rubs, treats, and chewing on toys—or pretty much anything else he can find! Tommy gets along well with my two small dogs and is perfectly fine with my cat. He sleeps in a crate and usually takes about 10 minutes to settle down, but once he does, he sleeps most of the night. He does still need potty breaks during the night. Tommy knows that outside is the place to go potty, but he is still working on remembering that rule when he’s in the house—especially if I’m not paying close attention. He’s a puppy, after all, and potty training is a work in progress! Tommy loves everyone he meets, and it’s pretty hard not to love him right back! He is a sweet, playful, cuddly little guy who is looking for a family to continue helping him grow into the wonderful dog he is meant to be.
10/02/26-Tommy Boy is a handsome 14 week old male mini bernedoodle (miniature poodle/Bernese mountain dog). He came in from a commercial breeder as he just got too old to sell. He arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. We estimate Tommy will be about 30 lbs or more full grown. He is 13 pounds of softness, sweetness and puppy energy!
