9/6/22-I don’t have any cats to test Lana with but I would assume she will be ok with them. She definitely doesn’t chase anything unless it’s a toy right now. My 3 dogs will chase birds / squirrels in the yard and she doesn’t. Lana also has no people issues. I can take her food and toys and treats away with no problem. I think she would be good with kids 8 or up. Don’t miss out of this sweet girl!

9/5/22-Just want to send an update on Lana. Lana has learned how to go up and down an entire flight of stairs! We were able to go on one walk which was slow but we did it while following the other dogs!

She is a very sweet girl who will attach to her people when she finds her forever family. While strangers are still scary I think with time that will change. She doesn’t run away from them , just sits still and allows pets. She does love a good lap and lots of cuddles!

While outside her favorite thing to still do is roll around in the grass/ dirt! She will seek out her toys and bring them with her wherever she’s sitting.

8/31/22-Lana is still doing great in her foster home. She does vocalize when she is in a crate now, we are working on that. If Im in my office and put her in the crate she doesn’t make a peep. While she is crate trained, she isn’t always thrilled about being in there and she will let it be known.

She is a typical velcro dog and will follow her human around and seek attention. We are learning house manners but that’s a work in progress! Right now she does not like being on a leash and will freeze when she is on it. She’s okay with it being on and her dragging it but once it is picked up, the brakes go on and she will not move. She does shy away from new people but does not hide, she accepts that a stranger is petting her without running away. With time and patience I think she will love getting attention from anyone.

8/29/22-Lana has been making huge progress for coming from a puppy mill and never being inside. She is shy at first but will warm up! Her new family will need to be patient with her. She sleeps through the night in her crate and no issues with going into it.
She does retreat to her crate if she is scared or startled. She has found a couple toys she likes and will take them and hoard them in her crate but shows no aggression if they are taken out.
So far no accidents inside and will go to the bathroom outside everytime we go out. Lana will do well in most homes. She loves running around the fenced yard so a fenced yard would be an added bonus on her list (but not required)! She also wouldn’t mind a confident dog, she has not shown interest in playing with my dogs yet but I think with time she will. She follows them around which helps with going in and outside!
Her absolute favorite thing to do is to roll around in the dirt/ grass like a little pig! When she’s really excited her little nub does not stop! Don’t miss out on this sweet girl!

8/26/22-Lana is a 4 year old brindle & white Boston terrier.  She was saved from a puppy mill as they were done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers.Updates soon from her foster home.
