9/28/22-Layla saw our vet yesterday to get check up before they would schedule her spay. She’s 63 pounds & her spay is scheduled for next Monday. She has a broken molar and the gum is receding around that tooth. Vet would like to remove that tooth as it will likely get worse.

This will be removed when she has the spay. She’s house & crate trained & getting better on walks/leash every day. Also, I am getting her groomed this week. I am not sure on cats but she has no prey or ball intensity though so will probably be ok with dog savvy cats. Most mill dogs are as they often have barb cats to control the mice. When I get her groomed I’ll also see if we can’t find some kitty’s to test her with. After her spay & dental surgery next week she will be ready to go home!

9/23/22-Kris hasn’t touched a single dog toy yet. However, she loves to runoff with one of my sneakers or work gloves. She doesn’t chew them up, just moves them around. Lol Yesterday I found her sleeping in her open crate & my old boxer boy George was keeping Kris company. She sees the vet on Tuesday so they can then schedule her spay asap. I can‘t wait to get this wonderful girl a great forever home!

9/18/22-This girl loves her belly rubs!
Kris the Teddy Bear. I can’t  get over what big paws she has, such a gentle giant. Kris had her face trimmed up a bit. Such a cutie!

9/11/22-Kris is slowly settling in. We finally got stairs conquered!  That was a task, no amount of coaxing with food or positive encouragement could get her up or down them. As a last resort I put a leader on her & got her moving and with a bit of pulling she could bolt up or down the stairs like a Tasmanian Devil! Lol Anyway, now I just put the leader on & take her to the stairs and let go & she does the rest. We took our first walk yesterday and all I can say is wow she’s strong!

9/11/22-Momma Kris came in with her 4 babies (also on the site for adoption) that got too old to sell. She is slowly settling in. We finally got stairs conquered!

9/10/22-My first foster! Straight from an Amish puppy mill. Meet Kris, an 18 month old Pyrenees Doodle. Just got a bath, she was a hot mess. I don’t think she’s ever been in a house before. Let the healing begin…

9/9/22-Kris is an 18 month old apricot & white Standard Pyredoodle (1/2 Great Pyrenees + 1/2 Standard Poodle)that came into rescue today as the puppy mill was done breeding her. We were told she’s very people and dog friendly. Dad was an apricot Standard Poodle, Mom a Great Pyrenees. Updates soon from her foster home!
