12/2/22-Missy has been here for about 6 weeks now. She’s doing well although a bit mischievous at times! She’s a bit of a kleptomaniac: Lighters, oven mitts, socks, paperwork & gloves keep turning up in her crate! LOL In true diva boxer fashion, she was doing really well with going out until the snow & rain came. She is very stubborn about going out in general now. She’ll go out for me first thing in the morning with no issues. The rest of the day I have to leash her up and walk her to the door. If the weather is bad she refuses to go out & I have to shove her out the door.  She needs to be watched that she does her business. Otherwise she is sneaky & she was just waiting at the door to come back in, not taking care of her business. LOL Living her life in a puppy mill she probably never had exposure to snow & rain. She can finally be spayed on 12/27 & this gorgeous girl will be able to be matched to her new home then.

11/4/22-Missy didn’t really care for the crate when she got here 3 weeks ago. She would go in it, but only with a gentle push on her rump. Now I just point & say crate & she goes right in. As you can see she often naps in it even if the couch is available. She’s getting better on the leash, but we’re still working on that. Her heat cycle is finally over. That was an interesting 12 days, not that i was counting! Lol
She’s missing a canine tooth in whole, not broken so no worries there. Her birth canal is borderline prolapsed from all the litters she has had. This will make her spay more difficult & the vet wants to wait 60 days after her cycle has ended before surgery. This allows inflammation from said cycle to subside and reduce the risk of bleeding during her spay. Missy’s spay is scheduled for late December & will be ready soon after that to find her match!

10/17/22-This little girl is just a pleasure! She’s the sweetest little love bug! She loves to put her head in my lap for affection. Unfortunately she is in heat so she has her very own granny panties. “I’m sexy and I know it!” LOL

Missy sees the vet on 10/31 for a pre-spay appointment. He did say it will be a few weeks before she can be spayed due to being in heat. More updates soon on this sweetheart!

10/14/22-Missy is here & my boxer boy George is SO happy. She is a beautiful reverse brindle 5 year old female boxer. She was saved from a puppy mill as they were done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks to her transport volunteers. She’s quite calm and collected, no signs of any stress!yes
