5/31/23-Mimosa (Mimi for short) is doing great since returning to her foster home last week. She is the sweetest little Frenchie girl! She is enjoying life with her English Bulldog foster brothers they all get along great. Mimi loves other dogs and attended doggy daycare in her adoptive home where she did well. She is fabulous with my 5 pound 8 week old foster puppy too! Mimosa is an easy dog to have around. She absolutely loves to be outside. Sometimes laying in the sun, other times she will lay on the porch. Mimosas last home did not have a fence (she was leash walked) and her first few days here she honestly didn’t want to come inside not because she was afraid of us or the house she just wanted to lounge outside. I really believe Mimosa needs & would be happiest in a home with a physical fenced yard and another dog… or two or three!! In the house she has good manners and isn’t a barker or chewer. Mimosa is going to the vet Monday 6/5 to have a little lump on her side looked at and also being checked for a uti as she sometimes itches her bottom after urinating and it looks slightly inflamed so we just want to make sure nothing is going on.
Mimi will be ready for her forever family after her vet visit!

5/24/23-After almost 7 months in her home, sadly Mimosa came back into rescue today to find a new home. Her owner recently had a big job change, is moving & is going to need to travel for work a lot. He truly wanted what is best for Mimosa and felt it was only right to find a more stable home situation than he was able to provide her. He said she is a very sweet and wonderful dog & is great with other dogs & would be fine with dog savvy cats. We do think she will be happier with another dog & no city living this time as it seems to stress her out where as in suburban life she is happier. More updates from her foster home soon.

11/6/22-Mimosa was adopted!

10/30/22-Mimosa is doing great in her foster home. She is happy and playful. She has adjusted quickly to our routine. She loves playing with toys and recently figured out how much fun balls are. She bats them around with her paws like a world class soccer player. She has no problems entertaining herself if need be! Her crate is always clean/dry though we have had a few accidents in the house. Nothing that isn’t expected at this point. She continues to be great with the other dogs. Mimosa is ready for her forever home!

10/23/22-In keeping with the theme of naming foster dogs after plants/trees/flowers we would like to introduce Mimosa! Named after the Mimosa tree, not the drink. This Frenchie girl is as sweet as they come.

Mimosa is bit shy/tentative with humans right now but comes around to get some pets and attention. She loves scratches behind her ears – my sister is absolutely in love with Mimosa and made me promise to tell you about the ear rubs/scratches.

Mimosa loves running and playing in the yard. So far her crate has been clean/dry with no accidents in the house. She is very playful with the other dogs and is working on figuring out playing with toys. All in all Mimosa is doing very well considering she had only been with me a few days. More updates coming soon!

10/21/22-Mimosa is a playful 4-year-old female French bulldog. She was saved from a puppy mill as they were done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. Updates from her foster home soon!
