12/15/22-Stormi is doing great she has blossomed into a beautiful dog. Her fur is growing in so nice, now she is so super soft.  She has become such a playful girl she’s really enjoying life. Although we are still struggling a bit with meeting new people . A few days ago a friend of mine came in at first Stormi kind of stood behind me and was scared. With a little reassuring and a treat she did go to her and accept it. A bit of progress too when my daughter was over and a friend of hers came in. When I was not present and in another room Stormi did go to her.  She just needs somebody who’s going to have the patience and understanding of what she’s been through in the last 5 years. She is a great girl and is just seeking all the love and affection she can get. She would love a home fo

12/8/22-Stormi is doing great with me & has blossomed to find joy in things.  She found a stick in the backyard yesterday and had a ball with it! You can see the happiness & light in her eyes in the picture that she didn’t have before. Currently Stormi does however have an hard time interacting with other people when others come around. You can see the fear in her eyes & she will cower & let out a low grumble warning to stay away. She’s not being aggressive or biting, but she’s trembling & very scared. I’ve even taken other people’s hands with mine and try to pet her but she just tries to cower and hide behind me, it’s tough to get her to socialize with anybody. For this reason we feel Stormi is going to need a quieter home without a lot of people coming & going where she can bond with her owner(s).  Also would say best without kids to avoid any possible issues. She is so super sweet but it just breaks my heart to see her so scared still after 3 weeks out of the puppy mill. More updates soon as I try to socialize her a little more to see if she can get over her fear of others.

12/4/22-Stormi is considered a standard size American Eskimo but still is very petite at just under 30 lbs. She is doing exceptionally well adjusting to home life . She is thriving more and more everyday. We have not had any accidents in the house at all. Recently introduced her to carrot sticks she wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at first but now it’s her most favorite treat. She also loves to go out to the yard.  She got the zoomies for the first time the other day and it was just the most warming thing ever to see her have that freedom and enjoy herself running around the yard. Stormi has also became very interested in the dog toys. She loves to take them and shake them back and forth in her mouth. She got to play with my mother’s dog the other day and she just had a blast .Stormi is starting to look like her breed as as she is being fed a healthier diet and not stressed her fur is finally growing in and she is beautiful. She is a great girl and have so much love to give.

11/27/22-Stormi is just the cutest little thing! She LOVES the snow.  She loves to lay down and roll around in it. She is doing great with potty training and walking on a leash . Her fur is starting to grow in and she is going to be even more beautiful when she gets her full white coat fully grown in  . Stormi is still learning that people are good and not everyone is bad as she probably had a rough life in the Mill.  She’s also becoming very much more playful & loves the kitties toys a lot but not too much interest in dog toys yet. LOL She is ready for her forever home and that special person to love her.

11/20/22-Just wanted to give a little update on Stormi , As she was to arrive on Thursday 11/17 when Buffalo was set to receive this huge winter storm this is where Stormi’s name came from .  She is adjusting well ,She is very needy right now & wants to be by you 24/7, in which you cannot blame her as she’s probably never had any type of love. We are working on house training as she seems to want to mark a little in the house. She gets along great with my dog and has no interest in the cat at all. She is such a sweet girl .She definitely is starting to open up a little more. She sadly has no interest in toys,  doesn’t even know what those are . She did enjoy the snow and rolling around it was the cutest ❤️. She does sleep throughout the whole night and never once gets up at all. She is looking for the special person to give her all the love she deserves.

11/19/22-Stormi is just the sweetest girl. Of course she is a little unsure about things as everything is new to her. She is adjusting very well.  Poor thing was covered in feces and urine from the mill. I had to give her a bath, she just smelled horrible. Stormi should be very fluffy but has very little hair right now. It is usually from poor diet as her hair is terribly dry too. I’m sure soon we will see her start to get a fuller, healthy coat. She will make a great companion as she loves to be touching you when nearby.

11/18/22-Stormi is a 5 year old spayed purebred American Eskimo saved from death at a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived late last night thanks to a great group of transport volunteers & a boarding kennel that kept her safe overnight. She arrived in the middle of a huge snow storm, hence her new name. More updates soon from her foster home.
