12/2/22-I suppose it’s time for another update on Mokey! She cracks me up on a daily basis, she is such a goofball and has such expressions! My favorite is when she’s sleeping completely upside down.
House training has hit a few bumps, but we will get there! She’s been dewormed now, so onwards in the quest for all potties happening outside! Mokey now sleeps all night long without waking up to go out (knock on wood, four nights in a row now). She is more curious about everything, is getting better at sharing toys with our dog, and loves playing. I think she has a loose puppy tooth so that’s going to be fun!
She is patiently waiting for a family and someone to be her always playmate.
(Since I’m a baby I need home with someone home more often. Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc).
11/27/22-Minor updated for Mokey-she’s not house trained yet, being a baby. Since the last update she’s had several accidents. We’ve been super busy inside and I missed her “gotta go” cues. I need to be on top of taking her out and she will go almost every time and that keeps the house dry. Nothing that won’t improve with time & consistency.
11/25/22-Mokey is becoming more confident every day! Curious but cautious. She has the cutest curl in her tail! She is walking better on a leash, though she still tries to chew it as soon as it gets near her mouth, and she’s a circler (watch your step!). She is getting more used to the crate. She wakes up 2-3 times a night to potty and hasn’t had ANY accidents in the house. We take her out fairly regularly. She’s starting to enjoy rough and tumble play with our younger dog, but isn’t quite keen on sharing of any toys yet. She’ll get the idea soon that our dog just wants to play tug! Mokey LOVES BALLS and any toys she can whip around in her mouth. Mokey is obsessed with trying to chew my slippers but she is teething hardcore. 11/21/22-Mokey is a 16 week old Standard Bernedoodle (Standard Poodle/Bernese Mountain Dog) that was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old for them to sell. She arrived safely into rescue tonight thanks her transport volunteers. More updates soon from her foster hom
