12/6/22-Josie was groomed today & looks even more adorable & must feel so much better. She seems to know she looks so cute!! We practiced playing fetch oustide. Now she’s carrying the ball around the house! LOL
12/3/22-Josie is doing so well at adjusting to life outside of the puppy mill. She loves to run around outside. Watching her run around the backyard with a big smile on her face can brighten anyone’s day. She loves to be brushed, pet, and loves her treats – although she has decided that green beans don’t count as treats and refuses to eat them. LOL She gets excited when I get home and waits for me at the gate when I go in the other room. She is fine with both the dogs and the cat (Charlie the cat isn’t too crazy about her though). She is crate trained, and is working on her house breaking. She’s gotten the peeing outside down very well. She’s getting the hang of the leash as well. Josie is a really sweet girl!
12/2/22-Josie had to go to the vet today for a urinary tract infection. She is now on antibiotics to clear that up. She weighed in at 25 lbs but vet said she needs to gain some weight, so she’ll probably be closer to 28-30 lbs when filled out. Her coat is pretty bad and her foster mom can’t get through it herself. Josie will be heading to the groomer soon so she will feel better without all the mats. More updates soon from her foster mom.
11/30/22-Josie is a 2 year old mini bernedoodle (miniature poodle/bernese mountain dog) saved from death at a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived thanks to great team of transport volunteers. She is scheduled to be spayed on 12/28 & will be ready to be matched to her new home after that. More updates soon from her foster home.
