12/29/22-Bonnie is doing so much better & not as scared. She gets excited now when we talk to her & her little butt wiggles! LOL She loves to snuggle in the chair with you. She is fine being in her crate at night but can’t wait to get out in the morning and follow you around. Any quick movements or loud noises still startle her right now.  The puppies are too much for her & younger children probably would be as well.  The epsom salt soaks have really helped so her feet are a lot better but still need some time.  She is working on potty training as she is not a fan of going outside when it is cold and she runs right back to the door.  She loves to hoard toys and such in her bed and gets a bit protective over them if the other dogs get too close. Most likely a flashback to her many litters of puppies she probably had to protect. All in all she is doing wonderful and will be a great addition to a family who has the  patience to let her blossom. She is a sweetheart!

12/21/22-This sweet girl is doing a bit better. She still cowers and hides but she is not quite as scared as she was. She is up and around more. Bonnie is slowly being introduced to our pups & after little time it is going well. Her poor feet are terrible though, looks like possibly from years on cage floor.  She has to be in pain from her feet so we are going to be starting antibiotics & epsom salt soaks. She loves to take toys, shoes and blankets to her bed and she hides them. Overall everything is going good and she is very sweet and starting to enjoy a little attention. More updates soon as she adjusts to life outside the puppy mill.

12/18/22-Bonnie is very cute, at 32lbs she is a little chunky monkey! Right now she is very scared of everything. When you walk anywhere near her she just cowers and hides. If you lay down on the floor with her she crawls on her belly really slow to come over closer to you. When she is laying on a bed with a blanket she crawls off the bed into the corner and pulls at the blanket trying to cover herself up to hide. She tries to bury her face under everything to hide. She has her own quiet space to unwind and we just sit near her and talk softly. She appears a bit more comfortable around my husband than me.  So far she seems housebroken. She is very sweet so far and doesn’t show any type of aggression out of fear she is just scared to death of every movement. Just from Friday to Saturday you can see a little improvement though. If no one is near her she will get up and walk in the other room.  I haven’t gotten a good picture of her because she cowers and hides from you. Taking it slow and I am sure she will be a different pup in a few days. Life on these mills is not easy on some & it’s such a change in everything. More updates soon as Bonnie settles in.

12/16/22-Bonnie is a very scared 6 year old female French bulldog. She was saved from a puppy mill as they were done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport volunteers. Updates from her foster home soon!
