9/4/23-Sadly after over 7 months in her new home Charli is coming back today to find a new home. Her owner is devastated as she loved her but is having personal issues & can’t keep her or Echo that was adopt from us too. More updates soon on Charli.

1/20/23-Charli was spayed & has been adopted!

1/02/23-Charli woke up with infection in her foot again after 7 days on antibiotics & soaks. We are at vet & also there for her pre-spay check up & shots. They said they were cyst infected hair follicles .  They gave her an antibiotic shot- should last for two weeks. They said it not something to worry about reoccurring.  Otherwise she’s in great health . She does have rotating patella in her knees, but both mine do too! LOL Again nothing to do anything about.  Charli comes to work with me at the bowling alley everyday & loves the attention. Today was a successful trip to Petsmart with the girls too. She had fun seeing all the sites & smells from the cart. Her spay is coming up on 1/19 & she will be ready for her new home!

12/30/22-Charli has been dying to snuggle with my Yorkie girls Olivia & Terrian. They allow her in my bed just not into their individual beds. Yesterday Olivia kept growling every time Charli tried to snuggle. Today I watched Charli crawl into bed with Terrian- laid on top of her like she would puppies. They stayed that way an hour. Charli was so happy!

12/25/22-I’ve had Charli on antibiotics since Wednesday.  I’ve been soaking her one foot but putting lotion and med spray on all of them. Today her back foot opened and drained too. We are now soaking all her feet as precaution.  She has scaring on her toes so I know she must have had previous infections. Such a horrific life before. Now she has a dog bed on the bed with us all!

12/24/22-For someone who has only been out of the mill since Monday, our girl Charli is really embracing life. She is a great dog. I groom her every day. She also puts up with me treating her feet. Loves to snuggle with me too, even under a blanket at times! So sweet.

12/21/22-Wanna know what happens to mill mommas that stand in a wire cage for 8 years?“Cage feet”. Well it’s not pretty. She had what looked like a cyst on her foot & she seemed like it was hurting her. I pressed on it & got an unbelievable amount of blood & puss for a tiny foot to ooze out of it.  We started her on antibiotics & Epsom salt foot soaks & wrapping it to help it heal. She is so sweet about me soaking her feet even. Poor baby!

Charli was fascinated by the tv today. She was growling & barking at the TV while sitting with me. This dog doesn’t care for miracle on 34th street. LOL Everything is new after living in a cage outside & used for breeding only. Charli is now on the mend & living the good life!

12/20/22-Charli is an adorable 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier that arrived into rescue last night thanks to her transport volunteers. She was given up by a puppy mill as they were done breeding her. We were expecting & told she was a 5 year old but the math doesn’t add up with her birthdate. Charli is such a sweet girl & gets along great with my two Yorkies. If you’re looking for someone to snuggle she is your girl. She has her initial vet checkup & shots January 2nd and will be spayed January 19th. Once she is spayed she will be ready to be matched to her new home! More updates soon.
