1/17/23-Eve is doing really great! Her pre spay appointment went well today. She’s 71 lbs and the vet thinks she looks good except for bilateral yeast ear infections. She now has some ear wash and Otomax. Many people think doodles don’t shed but I think it depends what generation they are. With mill dogs we don’t know the mix of poodle to golden retriever. Eve does shed a small to medium amount which some folks might feel that is a deal breaker. But oh boy is she a love!! Her spay is on Feb 7th & she will be ready to be matched to her new home then.
1/28/23-Update on Eve (or Evie as I have taken to calling her sometimes). She is doing really well. I think she might be learning her name. She is getting better with the leash and is very well behaved while out walking in public. Not an aggressive bone in her body.
She is very playful and loves to play with my dogs. I think she would do best with at least one 4 legged companion. She enjoys the outdoors and playing in the yard with her “foster brothers”! Her appointment for spaying is on February 7 so she will be ready to go home soon!
1/12/23-Eve is doing well, is such a sweet girl and is learning! She is very loving and playful & gets along wonderfully with my dogs. She could use a little work with the leash but only to have some direction; she doesn’t pull, just is unsure. She is completely house trained—-no accidents. Does not want anything to do with her crate but will go in if forced but resists it all she can. I think she’s learned to enjoy the finer things in life! LOL Next week is her pre-spay appointment & unfortunately the vets in the area are so backed up for surgeries it won’t be until early next month before she can be spayed. Eve will be ready to be matched to her new home once her spay is done early February.
