1/30/23-Pixie has mixed into our little puppy pack very nicely.  She does not want to be the boss and is happy to defer to my Chihuahua, Cricket.  My other dog Dug, who is young and energetic,  Pixie and Dug have become fast friends, which is great to see.  She has gained such confidence from our little pack, as she was so timid when we got her. She is really thriving & is ready to go home!

1/26/23-Pixie is still very shy but does well in a pack with the other little dogs.  She seems to gain confidence from the other dogs. She is very happy to let our alpha dog lead and loves to play with our young dog Dug.  For these reasons we feel Pixie needs another little/medium dog in her new home.  She does great in the fenced in yard. She still needs lots of work with leash walking & doing stairs as she just freezes still. Her spay surgery site looks great and the Apoquel is helping with the itchy paws. Pixie is a sweetheart we have fallen in love with.

1/23/23-Pixie is doing very well. She is very playful, loves the snow.  She seems to have some allergies. I started her on Apoquel for the paw licking- which you can see in the pictures.
She is coming out of her shell, started to bark a little. She does not understand stairs yet, but we are working on it. Just a wonderful little girl we have fallen in love with!

1/20/23-Pixie is an adorable 4 year old female Havanese. She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. More updates from her foster home soon!
