1/30/23-Magnolia is doing very well! She went to the vet today to have her sutures removed from her Entropion surgery. Her eye looks great and has healed well. She was so cute walking into the vet and meeting everyone like they were long lost best friends. Both the vet and tech commented that she is a great dog.
Magnolia is surprisingly friendly for spending 6 years in a puppy mill. She doesn’t know what a stranger is, everyone is met with a wiggling nub.

She seems to be getting the concept of housebreaking and we have gone a few days without any messes. She now keeps her crate clean and dry. We did have some pee accidents the first few days but she now seems to understand she will always be let out.
She is frisky and runs around and plays with her toys and the other dogs. She would do well with a canine companion or as an only dog.

Magnolia is truly an easy dog to have around. Once she gets some attention and some play time she snuggles up on the big dog bed for a Power Nap. Magnolia is ready for a special family of her own.

1/22/23-Magnolia arrived at her foster on Friday. She was released from a puppy mill. Now that her breeding days are behind her she is spay and up to date. She also had Entropion surgery on one lower eye lid and a dental with 3 extractions.

When I picked Magnolia up on Friday she looked so sad and defeated. She slept soundly for the ride home. Heartbreaking to think a clean crate with a clean blanket in my warm truck was likely the most comfortable Magnolia has been in her 6 years of life.

Once we got home she checked out the yard and I brought her in for a bath. The amount of fur that came off this poor girl was unreal. Her back legs are yellow with urine stains. Her ears have never been cleaned and she has infections in both ears (treatment already started) but the worst was her nose rope/wrinkle. The amount of dirt/debris and infection I cleaned out of that wrinkle was unbelievable. Magnolia was so good allowing be to clean and treat. I know the ears and nose wrinkle have to be extremely uncomfortable but through everything Magnolia gave me kisses. Can you even imagine, just sweet little kisses despite all she has been through!

Magnolia has a very sweet, gentle temperament. She wiggles her nub and is a happy girl despite everything. She is going to make her new family very happy. More updates soon!
