2/17/23-Poppy is now at her foster home recovering from her spay. Unfortunately she does have to wear the dreaded E collar when we leave the house, but she does pretty well when we’re here to supervise her. She has 3 canine friends here and she’s loving playing with them. She’s confident and smart. She’s catching on to her name really quickly. She’s working on house training with an accident here or there, but I think that’s a matter of us not reading her signs yet. She’s great with my sons (both over 7) too! She’s a happy girl that would love a forever home! With lots of toys and someone to snuggle with of course!
2/8/23-Poppy is a beautiful 8 month old blue Merle tri-color female mini aussie (miniature Australian shepherd). She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as she just got too old to sell. She arrived safely into rescue today thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. She is being spayed on Monday & will be ready to go home soon after. More updates from her foster home soon!
