3/1/23-Duncan has started to get more and more comfortable around our home. He is still very skittish and timid around males and new humans, but kids are an automatic go! He got his first puppy cut today at the groomers, but did not like the blow dryer or clippers so they just used the scissors to keep him comfortable. Loud sounds tend to make him a little nervous!  He is crate trained when we are away and at night, which is working out very well. He has has  had a couple accidents in the house, but overall are learning to “go potty” outside with a leash around the yard. He has the most success in the morning and right after he is let out of his crate. We have started to train him to “sit” as well.  He is scheduled to be neutered on March 7th, and will be excited for his forever home after that! 

2/27/23-We have had Duncan for 2 days. He is quite literally attached to our children ages 6 and 9.  He is comforted by myself (mom) as well, but is still a little timid towards my husband, and any male. He has gone easily to his crate and nighttime and while we are at work. He is learning to go on walks with a leash,  but is still exploring the great outdoors and all it has to offer for him. Duncan is also quite fond of our 10 year old maltipoo as well! He learned how to use the stairs in a day, and knows where home is pretty quickly. It’s clear that he is more comfortable in the home than outside still at this point. Whomever is walking around in the house he follows, and needs to be by someones side at all times. He does well in car rides, but prefers to lay on the floor in the car right now. 

2/22/23-Duncan is an adorable tiny 6 month old Mini aussiedoodle (miniature Poodle/mini Australian shepherd). He was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as he just got too old for them to sell. He arrived safely into rescue late tonight thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. He will need to be neutered & then we will be able to match him to his new home. We estimate he will be max of 25 lbs full grown. More updates soon from his foster home!
