3/16/23. Roxie is so incredibly easy-going, calm, she’s way past that bouncing around three-year-old boxer routine that can go on. Her basic reason for getting up in the morning is to be loved. She’s just a love bug, she gets up in the morning is just to come and sit in front of  you and put her little nose up and get loved on.No matter where  she gets adopted,I think she would be just fine as an only dog but she also loves the interaction with another dog and the good news is she’s a really balanced kind of spirit .  She snuggles with either my male or female boxer plays with both of them without any kind of territorial actions going on. No food aggression no counter surfing,  goes right into the crate when I tap on the top and call her, goes into her crate and waits to be fed. She is just a really perfect easy-going but super super lovable  boxer! She’s spayed on Tuesday & then can go to her new home.

3/7/23-Roxie is doing very well & is very smart! She is crate trained & goes in with no problem.  Roxie went to the vet to be spayed today but unfortunately she appears to be in heat. For her safety during surgery they want to wait 2 weeks until she’s out of heat before spaying her. She was a little underweight at only 49 lbs so I brought in a fecal. She has roundworms so she’s been given a wormer to take care of that. The vet said it would be good for her to gain a little weight too before her spay. Getting rid of the worms will definitely help with that. Poor Roxie also tested positive for Lyme so she has antibiotics too. So glad she’s out of the mill so she can get healthy! Her new spay date is Tuesday 3/21 so she will be ready to go home after that.

3/4/23-Roxie arrived last nice & the meet and greets with my other 2 boxers went very very well. In fact, my Diva was doing her play bow routine & wanted Roxie to play! So far she’s very easy going and even tempered. She will be spayed on Tuesday 3/7 & once we get to know her a little better she will be ready to go home!

3/3/23-Roxie is a 5 year old female boxer. She was a breeder dog for a puppy mill that was also their farm dog. She was good with their 4 kids & played with them all the time. She was also good with their golden retriever & other dogs. They got her from a relative who was mill breeder & they had her a few years & she has always been great. They never had a problem with her but they went on vacation and she broke out of her pen and killed the neighbors sheep. She has never done anything like that before. So unfortunately she’s gotta go. For this reason we are saying no to cats in case her prey drive is too much.  She arrived safely into rescue last tonight thanks to her transport volunteers.D4
