3/8/23-Randee is such a good girlie!! Randee has really come out of her shell since my last update.  She’s now eating at dinner time (in her crate) rather than in private overnight, and she eats in the morning while I get ready for work.  She now willingly goes in her crate & settles quickly.  She’s very quiet – hasn’t whimpered or barked once.  This girl LOVES my husband and I, more so than my dogs. In fact on occasion she growls (not aggressively) at my pack so I think she may be happier as an only dog, as long as her humans are around more often than not. When we are inside, she wants to be snuggled and when we leash up to go outside, she gets sooo excited and bounces around like a jumping bean!  She would really benefit from an active home & fenced yard so she can run and learn how to chase a ball.  She loves to chase ice cubes which I slide on the floor for her to chase & crunch on.  I don’t know if she gets the house-training concept but she’s had no accidents which has been a blessing!  It’s also been a blessing to witness this girl’s confidence & personality blooming more every day!

3/5/23 – Randee came in like a firecracker (probably adrenaline) yesterday but has retreated a bit.  She’s a little unsure of my pack (but there are 3 of them) so she likes to chill by herself and watch them from a safe distance.  There’s no aggression, she’s just not quite sure she can trust them yet.  We did have a great pack walk today including in a fenced area.  It was cool to see the puppy in her come out – running and bouncing around, returning to me frequently for praise.  This girl is so sweet, one of her favorite things to do is to nuzzle her nose into your thigh and get her chin itched.  Overnight she was very quiet in the crate and it was dry in the morning.  She ate in the comfort and privacy of her crate and is doing a great job going outside for potty – no accidents in the house 😊  Her surgical incision looks great and is healing quickly.  She got a good scrub and even let me blow dry her hair!  This girl is going to bloom before spring and I can’t wait to share her next update!

3/03/23-Randee is a sweet 2 year old female Standard Goldendoodle (Standard poodle/Golden Retriever). She was saved from being killed at a puppy mill as they were just done breeding her. She arrived safely into rescue late tonight thanks to her transport & overnight volunteers. More updates soon from her foster home.
