3/15/23-Betsy definitely seems to have got mostly the poodle genes side of her parents. She was spayed on Monday & is doing great. She was so badly matted & stinky we did have to get the vet to shave her down & bathe her twice! You wouldn’t know she’s the same dog but she smells & must feel so much better! Fur will grow back nice now that she will be able to be groomed regularly. She also was cat tested at the vet & showed she didn’t care about the cats even when they growled or hissed at her. She does always seem to be next to or near another dog in her foster home so we feel she really needs another dog in her new home. Right now Betsy doesn’t have any idea what walking on the leash is but with maybe a harness & a little practice we know she will get it. Betsy is ready to go home!
3/8/22-Betsy is a cute as a button 1.5 year old mini goldendoodle (miniature poodle/golden retriever). She was saved from being killed by a puppy mill as they decided to just not breed her. She arrived safely into our rescue tonight thanks her overnight & transport volunteers. She will be spayed on Monday 3/13. Once she is spayed & we get to know her a little better she will be ready to go to her new home.
